fine value for price: clean and quiet, friendly administration, nicely planted garden out front , and even healthy & happy chickens that give you a couple of eggs /day , as part of the bargain ! Situated in a nice quiet suburb with stores nearby and good bus service. Lovely view of the San Jacinto mountains.

Wow. This place was the worst place I ever stayed at. I stayed at many hostels in California. This one was listed under 'Hostel World'. It should be removed immediately. The moment we walked up to the place we knew we made a grave mistake booking with them. Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre would have nightmares if he stayed at this place. A few highlights: The place was dirty all over. The place was noisy as it has very thin walls. The place housed homeless people. The place was crowded. The place has a lack of kitchenware.

The Crashpod is a perfect desert surreal locations. I love the chickens running around and the separation of lounge space is perfect. Can't wait to see the sun rise in the place. The staff Sara is very nice and accommodating. Truly a much needed view of hospitality

A pretty traditional hostel. Like most hostels, in the USA, it is full of homeless people. Really a bummer. Left a day early because I didn't enjoy the vibe at all. Otherwise, the building has a beautiful garden, lots of cats and chickens around, super cool.

I met a lot of interesting people from around the world there and locals too. I made friendships The staff was very friendly fun and extremely helpful. The price is about 25% of the hotel prices 15 minutes away in Palm Springs. I can't say enough about how flexible and helpful the staff and ownership were. The grounds are very nice. Everything is clean and neat. I had a fantastic time. Don't forget to have free breakfast with fresh eggs from the free range chickens there..

Great for the price! I loved hanging out with miso the cat. Comfy bunk bed with curtains for privacy. The bathroom could have been cleaner, I would recommend bringing shower shoes if you're going to stay here.

Sarah & Jon the two owners are what u call slum lords.! They tell everyone different prices like they are crooks. There's dead chickens on the property. The kitchen has roaches. There was no hot water for five days.. they had to keep restarting the water heater. The bedrooms have no windows. And the beds are sitting on top of pieces of wood. It's like a half way house or jail..
