I have visited the Civilization Wine tasting room a few times with a group of friends and every time is a real treat. Kris, the winemaker, has poured both times and you can tell he takes great pride in what he does. He gave us a tour of his winery and explained his process. The wine is amazing! Dona Mae Pinot was my favorite, although all of the wines were excellent. TIP: You have to make an appointment for the tasting room. Call ahead for Friday thru Sunday.

As a long time fan of Civilization Wine Company, I will admit that going to the tasting room took entirely too long. I was initially introduced to the wines by a friend and fell in love with the Pinot. Visiting the tasting room took the wines to an entirely new level. The wine maker, Kris is so obviously passionate about his craft and is happy to teach while he pours. As a beginner to the wine world, I felt like I left with a wealth of new knowledge about production and tasting tips. Great experience!

Delicious Old World wines made in Santa Barbara! I love everyone I have had and I am a wine club member. And Kris is a true rock star among winemakers so you can't go wrong!
