Alta Colina Vineyard & Winery

I first met the good folks at Alta Colina in 2010. I liked the wine, but probably more importantly, I enjoyed the people! When I first met them, the team was the Tillman Family - Bob, Maggie, and Lynn - in a tiny tasting room above Villicana Winery. I joined the wine club on that visit. We have been back for many visits since that initial visit in 2010 and we would be there more often if it weren't a six hour drive from home. The wines have always been good and are a good value for small production, artisanal wines. But the people of Alta Colina are what created the enduring connection. Favorite wines: Sun Worshipper, GSM, and Toasted Slope. Favorite experience: Tasting fabulous wines with friends on the Sundowner Deck at the top of the vineyard! We even have a vine from their vineyard on the wall of our house as decoration!

We had an excellent experience wine tasting and staying at the Trailer Pond. Ed was our tasting guide and he is super knowledgeable about Paso, Alta Colina, and wines. Very enjoyable experience. We joined their wine club.

We had a great experience wine tasting today with Bob. I felt like I could have had my Enology 101 course signed off after our visit. Their wines are delicious and their personal investment and care for quality is evident. It's a must visit for anyone who appreciates quality wines.

This review is a long overdue! A group of girlfriends and I visited in August 2023 on a recommendation from someone local, ended up becoming members, and we've been hooked ever since. My husband and I live in Texas but head to Paso a few times a year to visit my in-laws and Alta Colina is on the itinerary every time. We love the family owned vibe and the wine is delicious. If you're nearby this is a must-do, especially the Summit Tasting, highly highly recommend!

Excellent wines. Amazing staff. We've been members for several years and drive up twice a year from LA to pick up our wines because we just love the vibes there. Also dog friendly!

We had a wonderful time at the winery today. We were given a tour of the vineyard and then we had a tasting of their delicious wines. Very friendly and hospitable. Would highly recommend.

Wine tasting is one of the best activities you can enjoy in California, especially in Paso Robles at Alta Colina. Alyssa provided us with unforgettable experiences--Alta Colina Rose is one of my favorites. I even brought some home. My Rose made the flight all the way to Columbus with me--it's that good.

Very enjoyable tasting - the family and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine is delicious. We joined the club. We had a great time.
