What a great wine tasting! This place was lovely and good value...a $30 tasting gets you 5 tastes and a small cheese board. The wines were excellent. Sean, who did our tasting was really great and really knows his wines...he also gave us some great recommendations for dinner and cocktails nearby. Definitely stop by if you are in Petaluma

I set up a tasting here for myself, my mother, and a friend of ours. I had just stumbled upon the existence of this winery and tasting room the day before. I am always on the search for local wineries to taste and to support, so finding this place made me smile as a local Petaluma resident with this place right on the north end of downtown Petaluma. We found this tasting room, which was apparently a former auto shop, to be amazingly upgraded and a beautiful setting to sit for a flight of wines. The staff serving us on this day were friendly, patient, and very informative. I'm not a "wine snob", so for me a wine is either good...or not. In the case of all 5 wines in the flight (and an additional taste of a Syrah), they were all good. We took a few bottles home, waiving a fee for one of the tastings in the process. I would recommend this tasting room to anyone passing through Petaluma or searching for a winery that produces a pleasant product.

Spent a very enjoyable couple of hours here tasting the array of wines on offer. Time spent educating on the wines and their production really was superb. The free chacuterie was an added bonus. We picked up a couple of bottles of our favourites Thank you ...

We had the pleasure of meeting Gary at a Dallas tasting today and we loved the wines and Gary's journey through life which found him at ultimately at our neighbors house. Gary clearly has a strong passion for wine making and the wines show just that. I hope we can get to Petaluma sometime soon. Cheers

If you like Kosta Brown, Rochioli, and William Selyem Pinot Noir run, do not walk to Brooks Note winery in Petaluma. This is five small production pinot noir wines produced from micro lots in micro climates vineyards. The way Pinot was made before the film Sideways blew up the industry. It is by far my new favorite in Sonoma county.

My wife and I visited in August shortly after Brooks Note opened due to living only half a mile away. We joined that day thanks to the amazing experience, hospitality, delicious wine and personal connection we had with Garry and Jen. We have been back in a handful of times since just the two of us, with friends and with family, and every time has been a different but equally as awesome experience. Brooks Note is just what Petaluma needs. A fine balance of great wine, "at home feeling" and an elevated wine tasting experience without the touristy headache of Napa or Sonoma. We have recommended Brooks Note to dozens of friends, family and co-workers because of everything listed above. If you live in or near Petaluma, we highly recommend making an appointment and stopping in for a tasting. You will not be disappointed and will most likely be walking out with multiple bottles of wine.
