About Our Professional Web Hosting Services
Hivelocity was founded in 2002 by a few guys on a mission to create an exceptional company with a singular focus on simplifying hosting. Starting with a single rack of servers located in the quintessential basement (every great start-up story begins in a basement after all), our vision was to build a hosting company that not only supported customer growth but fostered it as well. Our philosophy back in 2002 was the same as it is today: the more successful our customers are the more successful we will be. Hivelocity's goal has always been to do whatever possible, whenever possible, to put our customers in the best position to succeed. It is our simple hope that our customers' success will eventually lead to them needing more of our services.

Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Hivelocity deleted my device without confirming that they had made a good faith attempt to reach me. I was on vacation and fell victim to credit card fraud. My bank blocked my card. It also happened to be the card on file with HiVelocity. They claim to have sent me two emails about my payment being missed, but I have no record of said emails. They went ahead and deleted my device. Totally unacceptable. I shall not be doing business with this company.
Post-Payment Surprise: Forced KYC from a Dodgy Service The company requires a photo of your documents (ID or passport). This is not mentioned anywhere in the order form or on the service landing pages. Apparently, these guys see themselves as a "bank" or "stock exchange" with KYC procedures. In other words, after you make a payment, they will request identity verification -- not in a dispute, not to recover access, but by default. I have no intention of sharing my personal documents with every random company out there. There are already too many data breaches in the world. !!! Therefore, the advertisement claiming that servers are set up instantly (in 5 minutes) is also misleading, as identity verification is done manually during business hours.
Our company already left a review, but I'm going to chime in personally and then have co-workers share their experience as well. For me personally, it made my job a lot more difficult when we used Hivelocity's services. It added an insane amount of workload for something that should have been simple and was simple with other providers. For example, I'd get random phone calls from them and voicemails for things like an abuse report. Mind you, we had something like 30,000 IPv4 addresses at the time so abuse reports do happen, but getting a phone call and voicemail for one instead of the proper channels? I'd have to dedicate something like a non-negligible amount of hours a month just trying to communicate with them. So much beauacracy and red tape with all their processes. I visited their facility in Los Angeles to grab our equipment and some guy had to watch me the entire time. I'm trying to do my job and move everything quickly and he's on a chat with management about whether or not we can take ethernet cables, because they use blue ones and it might be theirs, or power cables because they use black ones so it's probably theirs (no, I'm not joking.) I visited their facility in Tampa and to give a compliment, it did look very clean and someone let me in as we agreed upon/arranged, but on the way out, the sales guy stopped me and interrogated me, wasting more time, double checking for approvals (he's the sales guy, not the security guard) and ruining that experience as well, making comments about how we're going to hate the poorly-ran facility in Miami (which was owned by a company that ended up buying Hivelocity, pretty ironic.) And the reason we hated Miami was directly related to Hivelocity (see our company's review.) I visited their facility in Chicago to remove equipment as well, by then I had already been to another facility so I understood it wouldn't be easy in/out and made sure to get specific approvals for everything. I start unracking everything, security guard stops me and informs me Hivelocity never actually properly gave the approval. Missed my flight because of that and it ended up costing something like an additional $500-800 to reschedule and get a hotel for the night, just because after multiple confirmations, Hivelocity didn't actually contact the facility properly.
Shady business practices. I'll keep it short but I can keep going, most recently on March 27th 2025, one of their customers who we used (QuadraNet) went out of business, so Hivelocity came in to save the day by immediately asking everyone for payments and saying they're taking over. Falsely claiming we owed QuadraNet money, saying service with them starts April 1st (mind you, we didn't sign up for service, since March 27th we've been trying to reach them to collect our equipment.) It took management 2 weeks to respond to us and telling us they've already been giving us services for the time we were waiting on them to communicate with us properly, and how we're technically locked in for 90 days before we can cancel a service for which we didn't sign up (we actually paid for a month to month service February 27th through March 27th, which is a big coincidence, but that also means the day QuadraNet went out of business was the day our service was paid through/ended.) They just keep repeating how we agreed to their Master Agreement (we didn't, literally, you have to log in to the account they set up and agree to it.) We already moved customers away 2 months ago, we were waiting to see what happened with QuadraNet. Good call on our part, but I never thought we'd have to worry about ANOTHER company trying to keep our equipment. Usually what happens when this situation occurs, the company who steps in to HELP is the one that owns the facility, not the other way around. Of course we did also use Hivelocity in the past. Funny story, we fled from them in Tampa and moved the equipment to Miami, which was operated by ColoHouse (who acquired/merged with Hivelocity.) I have so many stories and screenshots to share about what happened then, it was a blast. Like we asked for a thermal paste re-application which ended with our motherboard being fired and the thermal paste being UNDER the CPU.
Gotta give my take on things to even the score here as I see a few reviews that are not so positive. I needed a new VPS provider for my staff to do work on Windows machines. They has a verification process which was easy to go through. I was approved without hours being an international. Then I had the VPS setup very fast after that. The back dashboard is really good. Very new age vs some companies I've dealt with for VPS's. And the actual VPS. WOW! The price with Windows and the speed with the ram and number of core I got vs major providers totally smokes others out of the water. Also the support is very good. I had a few questions and very in the middle fo the day for me which is teh graveyard shift for Hivelocity I got replies very fast. If I could I'd give more than 5 stars I would. I had this opinion of Hivelocity within 2 days of using them. When I need any new servers in their supported datacenter locations I will give them my business.
Last month, I set up a VPS but forgot to enable auto-pay. When I noticed the system was down, I logged in only to find that it had been canceled. I was just five days past the due date, and they automatically canceled and deleted the device. Even though I paid that same day, they told me the cancellation is automatic and irreversible. Given this experience, I can't recommend them for any critical data. I used to fully rely on Hivelocity, but this situation has seriously undermined my confidence in their service. Now, I'm waiting to see if they'll refund the payment I made for this month since they won't honor the service.
We have been a customer at Hi-Velocity for more than a decade. We are truly grateful for the PREMIUM TOP A1 service we have been granted. I especially want to thank Steve one of the original founders. Also, we have been blessed by Vincent Paduano in the billing department with incredible customer service. We encourage every organization that is looking for services in the private cloud, VPS, and dedicated server arena to reach out to Vincent P. at Hivelocity. This is a real review with absolutely no conditions to write this. IT IS THE TRUTH. When service is good it must be appreciated and must be referred so others can enjoy optimum customer satisfaction. Very Grateful! UNORED CORP.
Fair price for an excellent quality server, personalized and very professional support. I have been a customer for almost a year and I am really enjoying it. As a suggestion for improvements: I recommend offering a free option to install the aaPanel panel in the new server configurations and easier and faster access to the terminal/console in the browser.
