Independent Living and Assisted Living was good! My dad lived in both for a total of 3 years.. when his memory started to fail..we decided to put him in memory care.It was horrible! The workers were on their phones all day or screaming at the residents..They did not take care of the residents needs at all. I witness so many things that were not good..But when one of the residents said he didn't like the dinner.. One of the staff members said, well I guess you will starve because I'm not getting you something else.. Needless to say.. dad lasted there for 2 weeks and that was two weeks too long!

We visited a number of different assisted living communities in The Villages and chose Sumter Senior Living. Its been a year and a half since my brother moved in, and we are so pleased! We had a meeting the day he moved in, and formally met all of the different department leaders. This was so helpful, because we personally met everyone in case we needed to communicate with them in the future. The nursing department is amazing! Victoria and her staff have been extremely attentive and helpful with my brothers health and medications. Director, Mica is very professional and involved in the community. My brother loves the food, especially the breakfast blueberry pancakes! The transportation bus is very reliable, and easy to arrange. Housekeeping does a great job and the facilities are always clean. I'm so proud to see a picture of my brother on the "wall of veterans" by the elevator. Can't say enough about Sumter Senior Living! Highly recommend!

This community is stellar! The Executive Director Mica Gilles is extremely knowledgeable, and resident focused. Grandma Betty is treated by all the staff as if she is their grandmother. It warms my heart ! I had lunch recently and the fare was delectable. From the place settings to the quality of food it was fresh and beautifully plated. They even catered to my keto needs. 10 stars

We very much enjoyed the meal, presentation, and the very friendly staff. The residents were very helpful also. Inviting us to your New Years brunch and party was also very nice. We feel that having one or more meals is helpful since eating is a big part of the program. Marsie will let you know later if we can accept your invite to New Year's eve get together. Only giving this place a one star because there's no way to give it a 0. Please don't put your family members here.They don't get proper care in the assisted, living.. And the place is filthy and the food isn't fit for a cat!!!! It used to be a wonderful facility.It has fallen downhill very quickly

The residents at Sumter Senior Living are friendly, positive, very active, happy, and care for each other like family! The community is beautiful with so much to do and the food is delicious with many choices to choose from. It is an all inclusive resort with everything included and a wonderful place to call home!

They hosted our tri county women's veterans Christmas party. The food was delicious, staff was friendly and, seating/accommodations were wonderful. Thank you for honoring our veterans.

I want to share that this community has a great team! Everyone at Sumter is wonderful and goes above and beyond. During my three year stay here at Sumter, I have had 2 hip replacements and I could not picture myself living anywhere else because of all the support and love your team provided.
