Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Switchyards Chamblee is a fantastic co-working space! Initially, a neighbor invited me as a guest. Once here, I immediately loved the vibe. The decor is retro and fun. Everyone is respectful and the "heads down" section is perfect when deep concentration is required. As an independent consultant who is also a social person, I love having the ability to work among others vs. being limited to my home office. I've met some awesome people here and highly recommend trying it out. The phone booths for private calls and the piping hot, free coffee are my favs.
I notice things and Switchyard provides an endless source of things to notice, from the millions of tiny design details you find in secret places all over each of the locations, to the music, the lighting and messaging to customers. There are stories upon stories, woven into histories and fantasies laid out in these spaces. This is a hospitality business and it shows with wonderful, inviting, warm hospitality that lets any one working from this space feel a little more human in an increasingly inhumane world. I actually look forward to going to work at Switchyards and find myself spending more time there than I should as a result. But it works out great for me and I live nearby, so I can make a bit of a mess of myself at work, leave it all there, surround myself in some equally cool people doing equally cool things and some times get inspired by what I see and hear. They keep it clean. They make improvements and they keep the quality up. Totally worth it.
Got a membership to get away from the house as I do some graphic design work. This was my first time using a coworking-type space like this. I really like the vibe Switchyards has. This location in particular is really organized, quiet, plenty of spaces to park it at do your work. Makes me very happy every time I come to knock out some work. One tiny thing that I could recommend is that maybe they could start offering some hot chocolate in the coffee machines! Would send this place to an 11/10 :)
I've been a member for two years now and I've loved it the entire time. 24/7 access is huge, plus free tea and coffee. As a writer, that is super helpful for me. Recently, I left my charger at one of the locations and assumed it had been taken or something, but I decided to email switchyards to ask about a lost and found, received a prompt response, and found my charger! That was a huge weight off my back. I'm moving to a different city soon, but one that still has a few locations, and absolutely plan on keeping my membership.
Don't know what I would do without Switchyards! All of their locations are great, but Chamblee has become my go-to multiple times a week. There's plenty of space and an absolutely fantastic "deep work/quiet area" with several spots to hunker down and work without distraction or noise. As with all the locations, in the main area there's a great vibe with an excellent variety of music and great lighting. At Chamblee, there is rarely a parking spot available behind the building, but I've always been able to find free street parking nearby. LOVE Switchyards and really appreciate what they've done with this particular location!
Cozy, clean, well managed, and well priced. Depending on how busy this location can get, you might need to park further up or down the street but that's just about the only criticism I could make. Been working out of this location about twice a week for almost a year and it's been great.
Great co-working space walking distance from the Doraville MARTA station. It requires a membership that can be purchased online, and membership includes entry for a couple guests. As with all Switchyards locations in the area, there's the coffee machine (with milk and oatmilk), a few teas, and stroopwaffle. Food is otherwise not allowed, which keeps the spaces very clean. There are areas with desk spaces, group working spaces, small conference room, private phone booths, and a quiet area for focusing. The seats are not particularly comfortable, but there are lots of different options for seating. Overall, a great place to go to and work outside of the house. If you take MARTA, perhaps pack a lunch to eat outside. There are not many food options within walking distance. However, possibilities are plenty on Buford Highway with a car. Pros: near MARTA, retro vibes, endless coffee/tea to help you work Cons: sketchy parking at night; wheelchair accessible on gravel only (paved path is elevated)
Great space, energy, vibe, and coffee. Everything I love about a great coffee shop, but I can focus and get lots done!
