I'm going to admit that they reel you in with a really good deal. However, that is pretty much where the goods stopped. I used Mediacom for almost 8 years and I spent seven of that hassling with them to get my bill lowered. It seemed like every month they were adding more and more money until it was almost $500 a month. They had to redo the wiring three times. I went from basic service to the best they had and still had crappy coverage. The home phone always had static in it. You could barely hear the person on the other end of the landline. When it came to Wi-Fi we spent half our time loading buffering or waiting. And after 7 years of loyal service the best they could do is $250 a month for just the internet. I finally decided to go somewhere else and i am much happier and i am saving money..

Have been with Mediacom almost 5 years. Always had an issue with getting speeds I was paying for and reliability. The last few months have had nothing but problems, wifi going in and out, multiple technicians come out and "fix" it but immediately have the same issues. Not to mention the steady rise in the bill, started out with the top of the line plan for $75 a month and now I've downgraded 2 tiers and still have to pay $150 a month. On top of this, when asked if I can get a credit on my bill because there's months of evidence that my services have not worked correctly, they argued and finally gave me a whole $22 off. All I have to say is, if there were another ISP that was offered in my area I would've switched years ago. Save yourself the headache and do not use Mediacom.

My parents have been trying to get this sucky company out to fix line that was taken out by Hurricane in south Georgia and they are not helping in any way. Shame on media com. Still charging but not fixing the issue. They are in there 70s and have no service to watch TV or phone or internet.

If I could give this company negative stars I absolutely would. First, they require payment prior to service installation. Then because they have monopolized a rural area you have to wait approximately a week for an appointment. My encounter with this company has been one of the worst experiences with a cable/internet company I've ever had. We waited one week for the appointment and on the day of we were scheduled between 8am and 12pm. At 11:05 I received a call from a 1-888 number and the caller disconnected in less that 7 seconds. I called the number back and it was not a direct number to the technician but to customer service. As I am explaining to customer service, she was refreshing the screen and the technician noted that he called me, I didn't answer and he left me a voicemail. All lies. My mailbox is full. Because of the note the technician entered they put my appointment on something called a rollback. All day I called and inquired about the technician. Finally after calling back at 6 pm I was told no one was coming and wouldn't be able to come out until 4 days later. An entire day of work missed because someone wasn't being honest or doing their do diligence and job. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service for them to tell me that we needed to send them back their equipment or they would take $40 from my refund?! Its a disgusting way to run a business. I hope that one day a more affordable and reliable company is available for the smaller cities.

Nick Wilson jumped right on an issue I had with scrambling on my cable. He had his guys out at 5 in the morning to fix this issue. And gave me his number for future issues. He is a man that sees that issues are resolved. Thank you so much Nick and crew.

I despise mediacom. Internet is always high, paid 3 months for basic cable and never got it. The people inside the store always have attitudes.

Always a problem , with wifi , and when it finally breaks all the way. Don't worry it will take probably 2 to 3 weeks to get a Technical out to your place to look at it. Not fix it. That takes another week. This is now a week later finally told these people to come get there stuff. I'll just go to satellite. Not spending my hard earned money this kinda service. And by the way please change your automatic message reply. Here's a thought how about pick up a phone and call your customers when you see a bad review. It just shows how much you really care about your customers.
