Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Darin Richardson

Please join me in filing complaints with the BBB or Better Business Bureau. Such incompitence they don't even report on any news that is controversial. Trying to cancel and get a refund is like pulling teeth. They trick into a $1 trial and then start charging you $19.99 and refusing to cancel. Class action anyone?

Jenelle Fritts

I have been trying to cancel my subscription. They have successfully given such horrible service they have evidently so woke they are canceling their customers. I've been calling to talk to someone for over two weeks. I'm now on my way to the bank to manage the 2499 they take out of my account.

I am extremely disappointed with The Times News in Twin Falls. Their cancellation process is a nightmare. I have been trying to cancel my subscription online but it forces you to call customer service which is in another country...They make you jump through hoops just to get someone to talk to you, and even then, they give you the runaround and ask you to stay 40 different times. It's clear they intentionally make it difficult to cancel in hopes of squeezing more money out of their subscribers. This level of service is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and avoid subscribing to The Times News e-subscription.

DO NOT subscribe to the Times News using the $1 for 6 months EZ Pay offer. I did, canceled on time, was THEN charged $7.99. Finally found a number to talk to a real person (overseas?) and was told I would recieve a refund. Great! A couple weeks later my refund check for $2.99 comes in the mail. $2.99? Call back again and was told that it was in the Terms and Conditions that you get all but $5 back. Sure enough, although it's NOT on the T&C visible when you enter credit card info, you must click on another button, scroll down, put your reading glasses on, and there it is! So, I guess I overlooked it but it is certainly deceptive. I guess companies are now burying charges in the T&C nobody ever reads. Just don't do it.

I decided to try an on line subscription. It was only $3. I was charged a balance due of $2.99 for a renewal notice fee from 2009. They charged $2.99 to send a renewal notice and new they charge $4.99. I canceled my e subscription early. I know this business is a tough one now but to charge that this many years later because I didn't renew in 2009 is over the top. They will credit my account. I called only to find out what the charge was for. Did I get more time? There is a way to loose business and you have found it. Not going to deal with them ever again.

My daughter gave me a gift subscription. In 2018. Times News called a few months later and said it had run out and I needed to subscribe to continue to receive it. Long story short both of us been paying for 1 subscription and didnt know it. They will only refund 3 months!

Needed to change the delivery address and billing address for my mother-in-law's move to assisted living. First, the website does not allow an option to do it online; second, the website does not show a customer service phone number to get done. I had to specifically Google "times news twin falls phone number" to get the phone number. Then, the person who answered the phone was either new or someone incompetent with the computer system. It took me almost 15 minutes to get it taken care of. Poor protocol to get something simple done.
