Customer Reviews & Testimonials
We sat at the bar and the vibe was immaculate. Super friendly staff and the bartender was fantastic! We tried 3 different signature cocktails which were all great and the bartender even gave me a small glass of wine because she needed to finish off the bottle. Now to the food. We got brussel sprouts as an appetizer, which were very good, but our mains were kind of disappointing for the price. We ordered the rack of lamb and the signature burger. The lamb itself was cooked well but there was only a bite or 2 per bone and other orders we saw had much thicker pieces, the green beans were some of the best I've ever had but the mashed potatoes were just okay. As for the burger, it was nothing to write home about. It was cooked well on the inside but the outside had a bit too much char for me and caused some bites to be super dry, the side of fries were relatively bland and you definitely needed some ketchup to dip them in. Dessert we got the apple dumpling which was out of this world! Overall, great place to start or end the night!
Bronzeville Winery is an absolute gem! Our server, B, was one of the best I've ever had--she was incredibly attentive, gave fantastic recommendations, and had the perfect attitude to make our date night extra special. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you're an Old Fashioned fan, don't miss their version--it's hands down the best I've ever had! This is a must-try restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough. Go check it out--you won't be disappointed!
Everything was on point. Seated right away the food didn't take long at all. Service was exceptional and the staff was constantly trying to make sure we were comfortable. The DJ was doing his thing. Food and wine slapped. One of the best dining experiences I ever had and if you are a food person visiting Chicago this has to be on your list.
Dined with a few friends to celebrate a birthday. The drinks were great, as was the shrimp, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts . However, the chicken and biscuit were subpar. The chicken was bland, and the biscuit did not taste fresh. It had the texture of an old, reheated biscuit, and was not worth the $28 price. Several friends ordered the lamp chops, and they all complained of an overpowering charred taste.
Chicago is changing yall! This place was a nice gem on this side of town. Its an open concept layout and you can see the kitchen when you walk in. The service is on the slower side but the orders still came out hot and fresh. Bartenders were busy on the event night. Menu was small for this event but i think its the perfect size for this type of atmosphere. There is a mandatory service charge (gratuity) added to all checks, no exceptions.
I had a great time! Rich was an amazing and attentive server. He made sure we were taken care of and provided great entertainment throughout our time there. He introduced us to the manager, Mickey as well who was great. Love the ambience and Black culture of Bronzeville Winery.
I went there for the first time for my mom's 72nd birthday and I can honestly say the ambience was very nice and the waiter was very nice. His name was Ira very put together clean looking and very intelligent and the only thing I can say that was the issue was my salad I didn't care for the Caesar salad and the chicken that went on it. I thought the chicken was a little bit burnt but at the end of the day, everything else was good. The music was fine little much base, but that doesn't bother me you know, but I can honestly say I would most definitely go back and recommend it for first date or for all occasions to be honest even a girls night out at the bar seems lively and going to be fun and the vibe of the staff and the people there good job on this one may you guys continue success
Bronzeville Winery exceeded my expectations on my first visit. Their menu is highly appealing, starting with a variety of salads and appetizers that truly deliver. I tried the Mac and cheese appetizer, which featured delicious noodles and an array of cheeses. For my main course, I enjoyed a mushroom pasta topped with salmon--absolute perfection. I capped off my meal with a lemon drop made with tequila instead of vodka, which provided a delightful finish. Our server, Cierra, was outstanding. She was well-informed about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, including the mushroom pasta, which was a real treat. She was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The environment is sophisticated, chic, and modern, making it a great spot for a celebratory dinner. The only downside was the loud music, which made conversation difficult. Despite this, I would rate this restaurant a perfect 10/10.
