Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Faith Kinser

The conditions at this property are unacceptable and present numerous health and safety issues that must be addressed. Firstly, the accommodation is inadequately sized, measuring approximately 100 square feet, which cannot be classified as an apartment. The absence of a kitchen sink necessitates washing dishes in the bathroom sink, which is infeasible for holding larger items like plates. This practice is not only impractical but also unsanitary, as it forces the washing of dishes in proximity to a toilet. The exterior grounds are poorly maintained, characterized by large potholes in both the driveway and parking lot, some deep enough to obscure a vehicle. Accumulated leaves, trash, and debris litter the entry doors, further contributing to the unkempt appearance of the property. During snowfall events, the response to ice management has been inadequate. Upon exiting the back door, residents were confronted with a uniformly slick and uneven surface due to insufficient application of ice melt products. While the parking lot received plowing only in areas previously occupied by vehicles, the spaces where cars had been parked remained untouched. Consequently, as temperatures rise and melting occurs, these areas transform into hazardous sheets of ice. This poses significant challenges for residents who rely on mobility aids, as navigating these conditions becomes increasingly perilous. Inside, the building is permeated with the smell of marijuana. The cleaning staff, a husband and wife duo, and guests of the hotel frequently smoke pot near the back entrance, allowing the odor to invade the hallway and adjacent rooms. Despite using air fresheners and maintaining cleanliness by mopping two to three times a day, we were unjustly accused by the staff of the smell emanating from our room simply because we were loading our service dogs into our vehicle at a slower pace due to my mobility issues; I am recovering from 13 years in a wheelchair and use a cane and they felt as though we were not moving fast enough. Walking down the hallway from the back door to the front office literally sounds like you've walked into the pound. There's that many uncontrollable dogs on this Property. Moreover, the electrical system is unstable, with frequent outages lasting anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, dependent on the availability of maintenance staff to reset breakers. Denise will constantly tell you its because others are using a surge protector, if that is required why don't they provide them in every room? On several occasions, Denise, the manager, expected me or my elderly sister to address these issues ourselves by ascending a flight of stairs to the electrical panel, which proved ineffective. Repairs made by maintenance staff restored power, but after one incident caused by a resident from a nearby mental health facility improperly using a microwave, my iPad, which was charging at the time, was fried--resulting in a financial loss of $783.56 and the loss of access to critical business records. Throughout our stay, my complaints regarding excessive noise from an upstairs neighbor, including what sounded like physical altercations, were met with inaction. Despite my repeated reports (11 instances), Denise dismissed my concerns by asserting that staff living nearby did not hear anything, but the disturbances were clearly audible and disruptive, often occurring late into the night. She even tried to say they were only lifting weights. Additionally, we experienced multiple gunshots in the vicinity during our stay, and upon vacating the unit, we discovered two bullet holes in the bathroom ceiling, which I have documented with photographs. Despite these numerous challenges, we left the unit in impeccable condition, requiring only fresh bedding to be added. Documentation of the move-out condition is available for review.

228 is a micro living stay. It's micro in the name so don't expect a large room. Honestly at first when I pulled up, I hesitated for a second from what I saw book in on AirBnB. But it was just the way I pulled in. This was a very clean and cute little room. It was decorated nice with a nice color scheme. Very welcoming and comfortable. The bed slept great for me as I was out. My 10 year old son kept hearing a noise and it was hard for him to fall asleep but we also live in the middle of the country where it is super quiet and not a multi room building. Overall it perfect for my son and I. The shower has plenty of room and good pressure with nice hot water. Checking and out was super easy. I would recommend and would stay again. Also. The bed is a Murphy Bed and you can put it up and have plenty of room if needed.

When I first arrived, I was really sketched out by the parking lot and the buildings appearance... from outside is very very rough, doesn't match the surroundings or the inside...... i started to question my choice, was almost in tears.... parking lot is tore up form the floor up. Building is sad dull beige felt like a jail or run down motel 6.....from the parking lot.Thankfully when I came inside, Denise was in the lobby, right away I liked her and felt a bit better about the stay. She was nice and professional. Once I got to my room it was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Cozy. Plush bed. Very quiet at night. Is much safer than it appears. Re paving the parkinglot and Painting the building to make it match the rooms would be amazing. Over all the stay was pleasant

I really enjoyed my experience staying at 228 spaces. To begin the room was very clean and up to date already furnished and they even had the basic necessities (toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels etc) ready for me when i originally moved in. The leasing manager Denise has treated me with nothing but respect since the first day that i moved in. In one particular moment i was washing clothes but had to be at practice & she changed my laundry for me and put in the dryer and took it out once it done while i was at practice. Little gestures like that go a very long way with me and I really appreciated it. Overall great place to stay and I'd Highly recommend!
