What a joke! Internet is over priced. Technicians suck! I had the worst install job ever. They went through a seem in my siding instead of drilling a hole and making it look professional. Also, good luck getting notes added to your account. My phone absolutely will not let me send a message back to their automated messaging system. I let them know multiple times I can't respond to them... they cancel my job ticket for repairs everytime. I have to call multiple times in order to get a Technician out everytime something goes wrong
Windstream updated the lines underground in our neighborhood. They make the point to run the lines under ground and then leave a large round obnoxious post above ground in the front yards right next to the driveways. Anyone backing a trailer into a single stall driveway or using a snow plow in that driveway has a very good chance of hitting and smashing the post. Ours was already hit the first day, and I don't see people caring about hitting them a second time. They used a very unprofessional way of finishing a job. These posts should have been a flush mount box even with the grass. What a terrible solution by a company with horrible service... furthermore they throw grass seed on top of dirt and call that restoring your yard back to the condition they found it. Restoring the yard means putting sod back in place, grass for grass and not seed that blows away. Nobody that I know in our neighborhood uses windstream because their service sucks...
Husband tried to get service with them once. They sent the stuff we needed in the mail which is fine. Said we could set it up ourselves but then charged us a set up fee and when he called then they told us it was for the person who came out to set it up. We never even got it to work. We never got to use their service because we needed someone to come out to set it up. Went round and round for about a week. Sent it back with rma they gave us.
One of the worse companies I've ever worked with. I had my service for a year and a month and they never buried my internet lines. I wrote more than 7 service requests and called way to many times for help and they closed my request and did nothing. The prices look great but I guess you get what you pay for and it's crap.
Kinetic charges customers too much money. Everyday we have our network go down more than 20 times.... Especially around noon. It goes out every 5 minutes until bedtime. I've looked into other competitors for internet but they don't provide services where I'm located. I'd leave 0 stars if it was an option. I've been a customer to windstream for over 10 years and just feel like I've been ripped off the entire time, but my kids need internet for school. Definitely unreliable and overpriced. It's a rip off. Can't get assignments finished or submitted because the network goes out constantly on a daily basis. As soon as another company is available in my area, I will definitely be switching over to their competitors.
This is gonna be lengthy, I first had Windstream for like 8 months or so. It was GREAT no issues and fast internet. Due to financial hardships I had to cancel service. About 6 or 7 months later decided to go with them again. It took a month to get the tech out. I had internet for maybe 5 hours, then my signal kept dropping every 5 to 10 minutes, as someone who plays games this is not acceptable. Even streaming that's not a good service. Called them and took another month for a tech to come out. STILL didn't fix the problem, so they sent me a new router and said call to set up an appointment AGAIN. So by this point it's been almost 3 months no internet. The first month they charged me but I had to dispute it. They accredited my account with 75$ but EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW I HAD NO INTERNET THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE OTHER MONTHS. THIS COMPANY WILL LITERALLY STEAL FROM YOU
If you have the option to go with a different internet provider, do it. Wind stream is the worse provider out there. We pay for the best package they have and we still have terrible connection. The internet was once down for an entire week before they bothered to do anything about it. They raised their prices without informing us first, we just had to find out on the next statement. They gave us some ridiculous excuse about why our router could only be put on our porch and now the rest of our house has no signal, especially upstairs. It barely works on the porch either. Absolutely the worst.
Had this for over 6 years for a business and we are unable to contact customer service to solve a tech issue. When calling another number we found out that it is a third party selling service that handles all their new business sells and has no access to service. If we don't figure out how to get a hold of service today, we will need to find a new company to handle this. The worst service i've seen, even worse than mediacom. At least they answer.
