The Warrior Hotel, Autograph Collection

Fancy, but not overpriced. Excellent rooms, amenities, and a beautiful art deco design. Two bars, one on the rooftop and one connected to the lobby. Also a small bowling alley in the basement and sizable gym. Pool and hot tub area also looked great. The bathroom amenities were well above average. Another nice touch was live birds in cages.

I come from a small mountain ski resort town and have stayed in five star resorts all over the country- The level of service and care I received from the staff upon my recent stay with the symphony. Orchestra was bar none the best I have ever received. Kim the GM was freaking out outstanding, my room was beautiful and fresh, everybody was so welcoming! highly highly highly recommend this place I will not be staying anywhere else when I come to visit in Sioux City! thank you for helping this girl to feel so much at home. Honestly, this hotel is a let down. As many other reviews have stated, you expect more for five stars. The main areas were average, but as soon as we got into our room, the floor was not clean and the bathroom smelled. All around, housekeeping was poor. The pool had stacks of dirty towels in various areas, the bowling alley is nice but again not the cleanest overall. Staff are good but not outstanding. Also... the amenities just aren't there. Online makes it look like room service is available, but isn't. While the hotel is great and unique for Sioux City, falls short. Parking is limited but free, so okay. Location is walkable, but as with most cities, down town includes the transient population, so be aware of this and stay cautious/aware. The pull out bed is memory foam, so that is great. Edited to add- closet light was burned out and completely out of conditioner in shower.

Positive: I was pleasantly surprised by the heated toilet seat, bidet, and overall comfort of the room. Negative: Although the staff was good, there was an issue with notifying me when my room was ready. They never did reach out stating the employee was busy. I had requested housekeeping w no results. I had to contact the front desk to which I settled for towels.

Stay away from the Warrior Hotel. The service there is absolutely horrendous. We stayed there during the time we were home for Kalin's funeral services. They double charged us for the room. We had no housekeeping services the ENTIRE time. The power went out in our bathroom while I was getting ready for the services Saturday morning which is when someone finally came and took our trash. Not housekeeping but maintenance when they came to check that the power was back on. We had to ask for towels everyday and they never came and took them. Lastly while I am trying to get at least some of my money back after being double charged Devin at the front desk tells me last week he will reverse the charges and then does nothing. This week he says well I must have gotten busy. He was rude and argumentative with me this entire conversation and then tells me that I will still owe them 20$.

Great rooms, service & food. Be sure to use your Marriott Bonvoy points, if you've got them. Loved the art-deco & aviary themed decor. We had the Butter cake & filet in the restaurant; fantastic! Our room was so comfy & quiet! Great antique stores close by, too. The best night's rest I've had in weeks. Highly recommend.

We arrived and our the room we reserved was 'no longer available' due to being overbooked. There are four of us so we needed two beds. The reservation stated 4 people. My first option she gave me, was a king bed. Really? 4 of us sleep in a bed together? I don't understand the point of a reservation if it doesn't, reserve the room I chase. Why was it given to someone else? I also pre-paid so they held onto my money for 6 weeks for nothing, outside of making interest on my money. We were offered an 'upgrade' to a pull out couch. Fortunately it's two 15 year old boys who are flexible but I'm not happy with not getting what I reserved. We also picked this destination because it has destination chargers for our EV vehicle. It's the only way we can continue on our travels is to charge over night. We were told 'they aren't working and haven't been for several weeks'. For this reason we had to fly out of bed in the am and go sit at a grocery store, waiting to charge our car for 30 minutes. I would have loved to sit and have breakfast at what looked like a beautiful restaurant. For these two reasons, I gave a 3 star. The place is beautiful and the front desk women was pleasant, however offering a king bed to 4 fully grown people is ridiculous. Or 4 people of any size. Especially when you state you are a 5 star hotel.

We had been waiting for several months to enjoy a staycation experience at the Warrior. Unfortunately there were some major disappointments. It was a Sunday evening so not busy but they had been sold out over the weekend and there was a big wedding and they were obviously short staffed. At 4:30 in the afternoon upon check-in the grand staircase was very dirty with debris from the wedding flowers. We had to wait several minutes before the desk clerk showed up to check us in. We were looking forward to bowling after being reassured we would be able to bowl but then were told there was an "event" booked for the bowling ally. No event was taking place and it was obviously simply closed. Food from the restaurant was good. Room was great.
