Greenwood Gator Farm & Tours

Even though I grew up here, I've never been until recently when my sister, brother-in-law, and 5yr old niece came down for a visit. My niece would not stop talking about holding a Gator. We had a great time learning about what the gator farm was all about, holding an alligator, and seeing and feeding a bunch of other animals! If you're looking for an animal kid friendly place to go to entertain little ones obsessed with animals this is a great place to go. There was even other out of town-ers from out of state that asked a bunch of questions about the alligators and purposes of the farm in relation to our ecosystems down here. I would highly recommend if this something you've been interested in but never have done.

Worth the trip out. My kids had a blast! The lady giving the tour overheard my kid complaining of car sickness and she ran out and gave us dramamine from her purse.. The kindness and hospitality you can only find in South Louisiana!

This is the coolest place with the nicest people! They took us last minute for a tour and we got to feed the animals. Thank you so much for everything!!!

What a great learning experience. We're from Iowa so getting up and close was so fun. Our guide was Kieth and he was so informative. I got to hold a gator!!! You really got to learn the importance of gator farming and wildlife. The set up for birthday parties and class trips would be a blast for kids.

It was fun and very educational. The day we were there the eggs were hatching out! My granddaughter loved feeding marshmallows to the gators on the other side of the fence. We learned a lot about gator farming and the conservation of them.

An excellent education at a gator farm! Mr. Kevin explains it all in fine fashion and family friendly. Fun gift shop with authentic gator souvenirs and some more 'kitschy'... but don't miss out on some fresh gator meat to take home!

Amazing tour with a lot of information and knowledge about Gators. The guide was very nice even if we were the only two people who appeared that day, he didn't close the tour and gave us a personalized run. We had the chance to get very close with alligators and we now appreciate the work farms do with them and how important they are for their conservation. It's a must if you want to see alligators for sure and know more about them.
