Absolute worst a company can be. They know they have you bent over a barrel because they are the only internet provider in your area, charge you 100 a month for inferior service and then want you to bend over backwards to replace equipment for them or turn it in when cancelling. Do NOT use this company if any other is available. They also tell you 7 Mbps down but I never got above 6 and then they throttle all streaming video down to 1.5 Mbps which renders it useless if more than 1 person wants to stream something at once. Don't do it!!

I have the unlimited internet package for $120 a month. I have to have big river because it is the only internet available in my area. The moment charter or att is available I will be switching. For $120 a month you would think that I would get decent connection. It shuts off every hour so I have to reset it. Also, when I called and told them the problem, they had me come in to get a new router and they ended up giving me an outdated version. Not pleased at all with this service. Do not get unless it is last resort.

Absolute worst internet service and very expensive. Have to reset the router all the time. Do not get if you work from home. I get kicked off all day when trying to work on my business so frustrating. So many issues. The people who work there are awful and rude. Horrible customer service even from Shannon, the manager. He argued with me and said oh just call me directly I'll work on your issues nope never answers the phone his staff finally had to connect me to his cell. After 3 years of service I have had it and wanted to switch and they charged me $250 cancellation fee, seriously for this piece of junk that doesn't work oh ok.

I have had Big River for 4 years. It was my only option for service where I lived in 2016, which I pay $96 a month for internet only and it is terrible, the router has to be reset mutiple times a month, spins throughout watching a show, but now that I have charter available I am cancelling Big River and now magically Im under a contract that they can't provide that I "signed" a year ago and require I pay a $250 "cancellation fee" for breaking the contract that Im in. Futhermore,Chris the "general manager" can't return my phone calls. I will never recommend Big River to anyone I know, the customer service is majorly lacking in this business. Good luck in your future.

We have an unlimited internet and phone plan. Our phone never works (no dial tone for going on 3 weeks now at least) and the internet is spotty at best. I live maybe a quarter mile from the tower, so I know that is not an issue. Some months are great, and then suddenly we will have a month of slow to no internet. It has NEVER been as fast as advertised. Very randomly, the internet will stop working for hours or even days. The last time was almost 2 weeks ago and it did not work for 8 days then it was perfect for 2 days and now slow, to no internet access (currently been on "no internet access" for over 5 hours, at 1am so I know it's not super busy, this time of day it's usually the fastest) I know so many have problems with charter but I would take those issues over this any day of the week. Unfortunately big river is our only option aside from dial up and I would take dial up over this "internet"!

This is the worst internet provider I have ever had. The only reason I have it is because they are the only provider that i can get where i live. The only time I can ever get anything done is during the day when no one but me is home and the internet is still ridiculously slow. When everyone gets home I am lucky to get anything done. The internet cuts out all the time. Probably once every 30 minutes. Whats funny is that the internet cut out on me while i was writing this review at midnight. No one is awake and it still cuts out on me. I really hate everything about this internet service. Almost temped to move. I wish charter would run a line out to my house lol. I would give this provider zero stars but it won't let me. Really wish they would step up their game because this is just ridiculous. I feel like this company is screwing over everyone that can't get anything else.

The service leaves a little to be desired but isn't bad. The customer service, on the other hand, is worse than terrible. They keep charging us extra fees to cover their mistakes. They've lost our payment twice (and amazingly found it both times after I had canceled the check and paid extra by phone. Then they shut us off when I didnt pay the late fee and refused to turn back on unless we sign up for autopay. Mind you i even had the bank send them emails and none of this was through any fault of our own. Yesterday they called my husband to let him know they tried to run the canceled check, even though we had already paid by phone, and got charged $25. They were calling to let us know they are adding the charge to our next statement. They dont care about their customers. We've been with them for over a year and never been late or missed a payment. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot to choose from in my area but I'm looking for a different provider and will switch as soon as one is available.

The box on my house is for Internet service its dedicated for LTE internet only. I live approximately 2 miles away from the tower. My cell phone service is AT&T and I live approximately 8 miles from the tower. My phone is for calls texting and internet multiple things. But the box for internet through Big River is never as good as the service on my phone. Why is it that a dedicated expensive piece of equipment that is dedicated or Internet worse then my cell phone. At $100.00 a month because it's the only internet provider other then satellite internet. We are stuck with these prices an if you get a gigabit plan because it's high speed you use it up faster. WHAT DOES IT MATTER IF YOUR INTERNET HAS A CAP!!
