Vineyard Mansion & Carriage House Bed & Breakfast

Like taking a trip back in time. Beautiful antiques all over. Had an absolutely wonderful stay! Had the pleasure of staying in three of the suites. All of them unique and cozy! Friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommended! I can't wait to go back.

We arrived during record breaking cold temperatures so didn't get to wander the neighborhood but this place is amongst a number of classic homes overlooking St Joe. It is like a museum almost. It's well maintained and the upgrades to plumbing etc were done with intent to keep it as close as possible to original. Even though it was museumish it was still comfortable. We'd like to explore the area more in the future

Such a magical place. Like taking a step back in time. Absolutely loved our stay, about to come again. It's just a fabulous location. So much history. You never feel like a burden and totally free to roam. Thank you for opening your home! 1/19/25 Second STAY. First stay we chose the Benjamin room, last night chose the Lincoln. Just amazing! Both rooms are great but I think Lincoln is my favorite of the 2. The Mansions cat is just....the coolest ever. WE were hoping to see him and he graciously escorted us to our room, and in the morning, he escorted us to the kitchen. Hands down, he's a great host assistant! Lol. We call him Mr. Belvedere since we don't know his name. We'll be back in 2-3 months for another night away. The plants make me jealous also!! Just a perfect nestled piece of magic. I LOVE not having TVs in the rooms. I didn't think I'd like it...but it let's me disconnect from the hectic downtown KC life I live daily and go back refreshed for the work week. If I could give extra stars I would. Great hosts, every thing you need on site.

This place is so charming. It's so warm and cozy the moment you walk in the door. The owner does live at the home but is so nice. I only live about an hour from St. Joe and would love to stay here again just to get away even if it's by myself. I have made it my goal to stay in every room. Thanks Jason for a wonderful stay and allowing us in your home.

I was in St Joseph for work and found this beautiful mansion. The building is gorgeous and the room (Benjamin) was spacious and comfortable. The reason for the 3-stars was that the place is called a bed and breakfast, but when I went down for breakfast at 7am, there was no one around. No coffee, no directions on what to do. There was a carton of eggs laying out next to the stove, but I had to get to work so I didn't have time to make my own. I opened the fridge and grabbed a yogurt and a banana from the counter. Also, the code to the door didn't work. But someone from Los Angeles talked to me through the Ring camera and said my CC didn't go through. Since I booked through Expedia, the email said payment is "collected at property". This person from LA called me and sounded annoyed that I didn't answer his email or call, but I travel for work and hadn't had a chance to check my voicemail or personal email. Maybe this is why there was no breakfast for me? Anyway, everything was nice except for the service and lack of breakfast at bed & breakfast.

Amazing home, excellent host! Tons of space and great for a small group. Might be a little creaky but all homes that were built in the 1800's. Tons of character, looking forward to our next stay!

A lovely and beautiful early 20th century pastiche bed and breakfast. Very homely and you'll feel like you're living in an art museum. Stay and enjoy feeling like royalty for a night without breaking the bank.

My Boyfriend (From London, England) and I stayed at the Vineyard Mansion B&B for a total of 6 nights. The home is eloquently decorated and very clean! The host and owner (Jason) of the B&B were very welcoming and made us feel at home! The cat Root beer was very friendly and made us feel right at home as well. She slept in our bed for 4 nights, cuddling between my partner and I (because we allowed it). She is very lovable and an extremely clean kitty! Our stay also coincided with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the owner Jason offered for us to join him and his family for Thanksgiving dinner, which was very kind! However, we already had plans to have Thanksgiving with my family in the area. It was very nice having access to the kitchen, so we could cook our own breakfast in the morning at our own pace. Everything needed to prepare and cook our own meals (we brought our own food) was readily available. As well as cleaning supplies to clean up after ourselves, which was wonderful! The neighbourhood is extremely quiet. All the guests that stayed during our visit were quiet and respectful. Our room (the Lincoln room) had its own on-suite bathroom with a nice sizeable shower. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable! Both my partner and I were very impressed! I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay within St. Joseph to stay here! I garauntee you will not be disappointed! We plan to return sometime soon in the future! Also, if one is a smoker, there are a couple places outdoors to smoke! Thank you Jason and Marcena for such a lovely stay! We enjoyed your gorgeous home and appreciate that you shared it with us!
