The Ocean Bay House

My husband and I got married down the road from The Ocean Bay House last year and stayed here the night before our wedding. We came back for our anniversary this past weekend and we just love this house. The owner Liz is so accommodating and kind. I am gluten free, so she made sure to have plenty of breakfast options for me every morning. We stayed in the East End room and it was beautiful. We overlooked the water, it was quiet and so relaxing. We only live 15 minutes away, but will be back. This is the perfect mini weekend away!! Highly recommend staying at The Ocean Bay House.

My family and a few friends booked the entire home for my daughter's wedding weekend. The Ocean Bay House is lovely, clean, and conveniently located in Bay Shore. Liz was attentive and helpful concerning our need to prepare for a morning ceremony. She provided continental breakfast for the early risers, then a hot breakfast for those with more time. My only regret is that the weather was not conducive to enjoying the beautiful outdoor areas. We had a wonderful weekend and recommend this B & B!

I found Ocean Bay House to be a place of respite and refuge during a difficult couple weeks. Liz (the manager) and Jon (staff) were kind and helpful and made me feel 100% welcome. It's close to the Main St with lots of shops and restaurants. And there are some nice neighborhoods to walk and jog in. It's central to lots of coastal activities and the ferry to Fire Island is right there. I didn't get to do that, but maybe in the future. I would highly recommend this B&B, the house is beautiful and the rooms are spacious.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience staying at The Ocean Bay House for our wedding weekend with all our family. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by Liz. The charm and beauty of the property made for the most perfect setting, and it felt like the ideal place for us to create lasting memories. Not only was the accommodation comfortable and cozy, but the hospitality went above and beyond. We were especially grateful to Liz for generously allowing us to use the house for our wedding weekend. It was just one example of how they truly went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We could not have asked for a more accommodating and thoughtful host. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely surroundings, and exceptional service made our stay truly special. We are so happy we chose the Ocean Bay house for such an important occasion, and we will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family. Stayed there (in Olympic Yacht) for a short weekend trip. The bed offered great sleep after long days. The bathroom was big and clean with great water pressure and temp in the shower. The house looks very nice and well maintained.

We've travelled around the world for many years, having experienced a variety of accommodations, but we'd have to say this was our favourite place ever. From the outstanding service, gourmet breakfast, absolutely charming rooms, rocking-chair style verandas and sweet-smelling flower gardens, every design element and touch is thoughtful and high-end. The Manager, Liz, was incredibly accommodating and responsive to every need and is a very friendly, kind person. As I sit, sipping my morning coffee on their porch rocking chair, listening to the gulls, overlooking the ocean marina and morning sunrise, we can't wait to return and stay here again!

We had 3 rooms (Fire Island, Yacht, and Main Land) for a week, and we all loved every minute of it! The team serves a great breakfast and happily prepped some extra / special orders. We were free to use the kitchen equipment to have our own rustic dinner on the wonderful covered porch. We loved the pool. The rooms are well appointed, and the sunrise view from the bed in the Fire Island room was very special! Will definitely return!

We stayed just one night due to unavoidable circumstances, but we wish we could have stayed for days. The property is impeccable - both inside and out. Gorgeous location on the water, beautiful landscaping, and cozy, tastefully, elegant interior. Liz, the manager/part-time chef/housekeeper (she wears many hats) was easy to book with and so warm and welcoming in person. She provided a delicious, generous breakfast when we were ready to be seated in their sunny dining area, delish cups of coffee in hand. Our room was huge, easy to get a good night's sleep in. If you are in need of a serene escape from the chaos of daily life, Ocean Bay House is where you'll find it.
