I don't even use TDS, BUT they were working on my pole and knocked out my internet service from spectrum! Spectrum came out and repaired the issue in below freezing temperatures in the DARK! Call spectrum if you need internet, they're more professional and do higher quality work

TDS was the only internet provider available for us originally and after 3 years, we finally were able to switch to a different provider. I'll never be a TDS customer again!! Their customer service is awful - the worst I've ever experienced - and if you discontinue your service within a billing period, they won't prorate or credit back. We had numerous outages with no explanation of what happened, billing issues galore, and every encounter I had with customer service reps were negative. Not a company I recommend.

I genuinely wish I could leave zero stars. One star is nowhere near low enough. I switched from spectrum to TDS with the promises of better service, cheaper prices, etc. I did not have service consecutively for more than one month at a time the entire time that I had service with TDS. We had to have people out four different times to try to fix the Internet, when my husband and I both work from home. Terrible customer service, and on top of that, they charged me an extra month, which then went to collections because I refused to pay. This company is terrible, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Hello, this company is bad with service. We have been over paying for 1G fiber optic internet and the download speed is maybe a quarter of that. This is ridiculous. They shot the bill up to almost twice the price with no warning. Price gouging and saying some BS about inflation. WELL MAYBE, give the actual service that we are PAYING for... I know you wanna make more money off the backs of people for less. We are paying for 1G symmetrical fiber optic internet. Please look at picture. $99 for unreliable service and bad customer service that they will raise prices on.

I have had to call multiple times to cancel my services before they can charge me for the next month. I just want to cancel, but they keep not putting the information in or sending me the box to send items back... Stop trying to rip people off.

I have reported TDS to the NC attorney general. At the end of my promotional period on Jan 31, my bill for internet alone increased from $40 per month to $146.i had checked around and been told the TDS standard non-discounted rate was $71. TDS had assured me initially via email that I would not be under a contract even though they agreed to a two- year pricing guarantee, therefore I never dreamed that my pricing would be at more than their standard rate once the promotional pricing ran its course. But when I went into the Mooresville office to return my equipment, I was told my new exorbitant rate was because my promotional offer was under the predecessor company's pricing, which made no sense whatsoever. This may well be legal but I consider it predatory, deceptive and unethical.

We were trying to cancel our service on 2/27/25 due to spotty service and to switch to our mobile carrier. Our bill had a control date of 11/29/24. When canceling we were told we would be charged an extra month because their cycle ran thru 2/24/25. How can they change their date to charge us an extra month? ?? I told them we should not owe an extra $63 and was told we would be sent to collections if we did not pay!! This is very poor customer service and should not be allowed!
