Last year we launched our site with him and have been bombarded with calls. It does not happen over night but in a few short months you will notice a definite increase in business. Found a great resource for SEO in Lake Norman and he does web design, too! Willie was super helpful and spoke in a way that I could understand. Often times specialist can speak over my head and almost too fast. Willie was very approachable, gave me actionable items that weren't overwhelming, and had really great pointers in improving my SEO on my website. We used LRC to help promote our business and build more leads for our business. We were new to the area so we wanted to work with someone local. We had a successful company in New York from 2009 to 2018 but when we moved to North Carolina, we had to start from scratch. Willie at Local Reach Consulting sat down with us to help us come up with a plan as to how we should proceed. We liked what he had to say and even went as far as to over promise which should have been the first RED flag to us (Willie advised us that we were going to have "more leads than we know what to do with"). Willie also told us that his business was rather new and he was just starting out which should have been RED flag #2. Unfortunately Willie talks a great game but he under delivered for us. Prior to payment, he was well prepared for our meetings, had lots of information and his plans were well laid out. He seemed very eager to do whatever it takes to get us off and running. Once payment was made in full, we never really heard from him and there was no real updates as to how things were progressing or how to make improvements. Part of the service that was included in my package was getting social media and digital marketing implemented. This never happened - Willie simply stated..."yeah, just forgot about it and things have been really busy. I just didn't get around to it...". He gave me a small refund and stated..."thats what I usually get for doing a Facebook ad". Additionally, when building the site, he simply built it on one of the free website (weebly) which is basically fill-in-the-blanks type of website. We wanted to have a video on our homepage as part of the header. He advised that he would be able to do that no problem. Once the website was done, we had no video in the header on our home page because he stated..."it simply can't be done...sorry" and once again offer small refund...ugh! We advised him that the video was really important to us and he told us...."I will look into it" and he really never got back to us with alternative solutions except to tell us that it just wasn't possible. The biggest issue we had was with the content of the website. There were sooo many errors with the grammar and the wording on many of the site's pages. He told us to send corrections in emails and he would get them done. Unfortunately, there were so many issues and corrections that many of our emails were never opened and we would have to send them a second or third time before the corrections would be made.IN the 3 months we were with LRC, we only had 2- 3 leads come in and as far as Google ranking for our main keyword(s),(which was also one of the things we wanted LRC to help us with), we don't even come up on the first 10 pages.LRC also wanted to sit down with us and discuss how we can come up with Facebook videos to generate more business but that never happened.For what I paid for, I would have expected better.If they would have followed through with some of their promises, things may have turned out better and ended with a more long-term business arrangement but we ended it with LRC after 3 months which was the terms of the contract.LRC likes to use lead-gen pages which in theory, sound great but didn't work for us at all.The problem is once the lead-gen site is built, it was only good for a specific area (for example XYZ corp- Gastonia).If you wanted to hit different areas, you would need to make another lead-gen site. But for arguments sake..if someone is looking for XYZ corp in Gastonia..and your site comes up in the map box..it comes up with no reviews, no pictures, nothing! I don't know about you but when I search a company on Google and they don't have ANY reviews,I skip right over them and move on to the next one (usually the ones with the most reviews so I can read them). In my opinion, without review for your Google MY Business listing, you'll never get leads.We just don't feel Willie had the experience we needed and that, combined with over-promising and under-delivering, lead to a bad overall experience with LRC.
