Purchased and installed for a client an Indy Max fan and I am very pleased with the result. Fan is beautiful and extremely quiet even at high speed. I called customer service for help to pair the remote and was given very specific instructions that got the fan running properly in no time. I would definitely buy a Hinkley again in the future.
I had my fan installed by a licensed electrician; it worked for a few months before the light would no longer turned on, it wouldn't speed up past level 1, and no longer reversed. I thought it could just be a wire in the wall switch or the battery and finally got around to troubleshooting it. I paid an electrician $400 and was on the phone with customer service for a lengthy bit of time twice. They sent me a new wall switch and receiver for the fan. I just paid $1400 for an electrician to bring over scaffolding only to install everything and not have it work. Customer service was stumped and, the fan has been installed for a year, only fully functioning, three months of the install time. The manufacturer has told me that I now had to have to provide proof of purchase even though I've sent them a picture of the serial number on the motor in order for them to do anything, and I have to go through the site I bought it from rather than through Hinkley directly. Regardless, the original cheap fix which was not cheap, but cheap to the manufacturer because it was a couple of parts from China, have now cost me $1800. I DO NOT have a working fan, and I was told I need to replace the fan by both the manufacturer and the electrician. I will now have to pay another $1400 to get an electrician out with their scaffolding to replace my fan. I would never recommend this brand, and had done a simple Google search myself and read other peoples reviews, I would not have bought this brand myself. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
I own a local lighting company and have used Hinkley for years. We recently used a new outdoor house mounted fixture because of it's beautiful design. Unfortunately, the Mason jar cover for the bulb traps moisture creating constant heavy condensation within the cover throughout the entirety of the day and night. Needless to say, we would like to provide our customer with a better solution then caulking the seals and using foam weather stripping (recommended by hinkley). After a month of being kicked around and forgotten about, a store credit for the defective design seems like it will fall short considering our failed attempts and wasted time implementing your "fixes". Let's talk!!!!!!!
We bought a Hinkley fan and put a pretty serious dent in the trim ring. I couldn't locate the part to replace it so I contacted the manufacturer, admittedly, not being hopeful. Nicole was able to locate the part and ship it to our home and did so quickly and professionally. It was a great experience. (Positive experiences happen so rarely.) Purchased one of their fans via Wayfair. It was missing some screws. On a Sunday afternoon called their support line at the number provided in their directions and after 10 minutes of being told how important to them I am they gave me the option of calling me back, keeping my place in the queue. I took it. Went on line to see if I could get some support. Low and behold they only take calls M-F. Question number one, if they are closed why don't they say that instead of wasting 10 minutes of my time. Still no call back, frustrating. Looks like a good product but the directions are iffy as well as having concerns about QC if they can't place the correct number of screws in the box.
We recently purchased an existing 20-year-old home with all Hinkley exterior lighting. One wall-mount light had a wiring issue. When I contacted Hinkley, they went above and beyond my expectations to completely rewire the light and provide some needed replacement cosmetic parts, all at a cost too low to believe. We did purchase a new post-top light from them, which was expensive, but if that cost comes with long-term customer service like I received from JoAnne and Danielle, I think it's worth it. Thank you Hinkley!
Called multiple times to get a replacement part for my home light. Dealt with some great people (Melissa, Jocelyn & Tracey) who tried to help me navigate the product and find a way to get the replacement. Today I called in to get the order finalized and had the pleasure of speaking to Abel, he went out of his way to help me get this ordered and even went the extra mile to make me a customer for life. Great products and even better people. Its great when you talk with people who understand the value of their customers. Thanks Hinkley & Abel for assisting us with the replacement.
Would be 5 stars if they actually put signs up to show shipping/receiving locations. There is a sign in the drive with an arrow pointing forward but this is no help due to the fact you have to chose left or right once past the sign... (shipping is by door 26) and receiving is just left of the building peninsula. People are nice and helpful, load times are pretty fast too!
