Shoreline Park - Sandusky, OH

This looks to be a newly renovated area, and the upgrades look pretty good. It was raining when ee checked this spot out so we didn't really stay to appreciate much aside from the view of the southern shores of Lake Erie (we live an hour North of Long Point on the Northern shore) and just relax moment before heading on to the road home.. Recommended spot to visit if you're in the area, the views of Six Flags across the bay is extremely picture worthy so definitely bring your camera here.

I drove from State College, PA to this park on April 8, 2024 to view the total solar eclipse. The park was a nice respite from the loud music and the party at the Jackson Street Pier. It was well-maintained. The piers are much longer than one would think from the maps; it takes over five minutes to walk from the parking lot down to the edge of the water. I didn't use the playgrounds, but they were in good condition, and I didn't see any dogs. Some parents repeatedly complained about the lack of railings near the water's edge, but no children actually fell in and the edges are well marked with rocks. There is a network of trails, many benches, and even a bridge. I chose this park by chance, simply because it was where the radar showed the clouds were least likely to be a few hours before, when I was 100 miles away. Another Google reviewer showed there were a lot of parking spots, and that was correct - there were far more than were needed, even on that busy day. If I lived in Sandusky, I would go here regularly and get my exercise jogging along the trails.

Beautiful place, peaceful, can walk all around even out on the rocks further into lake Erie and by marinas, also staring at cedar point and if choose to you can fish. They do have a playground and a restaurant right beside it.

Shoreline Park is a beautiful place to visit and enjoy the beautiful views that surround this amazing park area. Plenty of room to explore with the family and grab some food at Lake Erie Grinders food stand located right in the park

Nice place to walk and has public restrooms. There is a stand selling food and there are places to sit.

Beautiful place to see along the lake. There was a nice playground for the children. Boat docks. Restaurants to choose from and a nice walking area. Was there on a Tues in Aug., late am and was not very busy at all.

The lake had frozen over and we were visiting from out of town it was beautifully eerie

I saw about 11 snakes walking around along the lake. Honestly cool to see but knowing there cottonmouth snakes makes you feel a little uneasy they have a park that's nice and cool art above in the trees. The entrance was telling us something that wasn't an entrance but I tried to correct that. They whereas renovating the parking lot while I was there
