The Yards at Old State

DO NOT live in this place! I'm paying over $1,300 a month, and the Wi-Fi here is absolute garbage! It constantly disconnects or the speed becomes ridiculously slow. The environment might be decent, but the shitty internet and the irresponsible staff who do NOTHING about it completely ruin everything. The maintenance team, though, is great -- when I got locked out of my own room, they showed up quickly. But seriously, this place is a nightmare because of the horrible internet and useless management!

Don't live this place! Choose another apartment! They doing so much electricity fee for me and all my roommates, is more than 200$ each person per month!!!! That's unbelievable, if you want to talk with the office they will say you should contact with the electricity company they can't handle this problems..... So why need I choose apartments not house? SUCKS.

Worst place on State College where you can live, we had no Wi-Fi since more than one month ago and the problem wasn't fixed neither by the Yards or the third party company they used (had to use hotspot or go to campus to work on anything), in addition to that the Gym needs a lot of maintenance and also the rest of the clubhouse. Overpriced for what they offer and would not recommend living here.

I'm paying more than a thousand a month to receive some of the WORST WIFI and Ethernet of my life. Single digits (the wifi provider) is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. It took me over a month to get basic WiFi issues fixed, and then a week later it broke again. Single digits has terrible support and does not know what they are doing. The yards is a decent place to live but the WiFi company they run with is atrocious. Most of the yards staff is also lazy and the gym is never clean.

Since spring break, the WiFi has been awful--unstable and super slow. Support doesn't reply, and the provider is useless. I only get around 2 Mbps. Yards should switch to a better company or let reliable ones like Xfinity in. I'd rather pay monthly than keep struggling with this.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THE YARDS. I'm a student living here, paying $1,300 a month -- and it is absolutely not worth a single cent. Let me break it down for you. First of all, the Wi-Fi is a complete joke. It constantly disconnects -- every single day. I can't even play games or scroll through TikTok without the connection dropping out. Every few days, it just straight up stops working entirely. In 2025. This is insane. The TV in our unit has been broken since day one. We told the office -- and get this -- one of the staff literally said, "We don't know how to fix it." Are you serious? We've submitted multiple maintenance requests and not a single thing has been done. It's been MONTHS. That's not just incompetence -- that's straight-up neglect. And don't get me started on the attitude of some of the staff. Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. It's like they're actively trying to make things worse. After Christmas, our faucets started barely trickling out water. No pressure, no fixing, nothing. It's been like this for months. You're telling me a $1,300/month apartment can't even guarantee running water? This place is garbage. Oh, and the noise. Some absolute lunatics in this complex think it's cool to rev their modified cars at 3AM, like it's a damn racetrack. Every. Single. Night. This place is a nightmare. I genuinely cannot believe I signed a lease here. Save yourself the frustration and DO NOT live at The Yards. Worst experience of my life.

Place is nice but dont expect to be able to use half the amenities, because there are usually broken. Not to mention our whole street lost wifi and some how our unit was the only one not fixed even after communicating to the clubhouse staff numerous times a week about it( its been 4 weeks with no wifi ). Perhaps a little sense of urgency would be nice considering we are not getting refunded what so ever. The clubhouse has wifi but not the place you wanna go to complete homework after you've gotten back late from a long day at school and work. Moral of the story, super disappointed in the outcome of this place as it was my original first choice when moving here.

There is no wifi connection since i lived here.We called maintenance several times to fix it but never works. Based on this situation,nobody actually take the responsibility and We have to use our data till it runs out.Wifi fee is include in the rent fee but our money can't exchange a convenient living environment.I truly hope Yards can give us an explanation. This is a comment I took a long time to consider making in order to solve the problem and not to spread hate.
