I joined HostAsset in early 2022 while on vacation and was initially very happy. I was promised unlimited hosting, unlimited domains, and everything ran smoothly. No complaints at first. But just a few months later, things went downhill fast. HostAsset was quietly acquired by KnownHost (KH) -- with zero communication to customers. Suddenly, my "unlimited" plan was restricted to just 5 sites. I already had 7 working just fine with no performance issues. No heads-up, no warning -- just a silent change in service. Then in May 2023, I received an email saying there was "malicious content" on my server. I took immediate steps to clean and secure the site, but the sites remained down. When I contacted KH support, I was shocked at how unhelpful they were. No guidance, no effort to assist -- just vague responses like "you need to fix it." I've worked with many hosting companies, and most at least take a look and offer suggestions. KH basically washed their hands of it. To top it off, I was later told I could now only host one site. That's a complete bait-and-switch from what I signed up for. Support became a nightmare, with unprofessional responses and no ownership of the issues. And just to add a cherry on top -- their logo, meant to represent the letters K and H, looks like a backward-pointing arrow. Honestly, it's perfect -- because this company makes you feel like you're moving backwards. Even the staff titles are odd -- I dealt with someone calling themselves an "Abuse Supervisor." Who thought that was a good idea? I've even taken the liberty of highlighting the backward arrow in their logo -- a visual we should all keep in mind when dealing with KnownHost. Misleading marketing, poor support, and zero transparency. I would never recommend KnownHost or HostAsset to anyone.

I have been with KnownHost since 2018. It's time for renewal and all support is offered for a $550+ plan. The sales/billing staff is awful. I'm looking for a new web host and advise potential customers to look elsewhere.

KnownHost is a wonderful web hosting company. They have a large enough infrastructure to offer you the hosting services that you need a great prices. And they also seem to have a penchant for good customer service which really makes them stand out in their industry. I am a long time customer of several years, both on the dedicated server side and with a VPS. They are responsive and helpful with their technical support. And, they are great with their billing support. Very fair indeed. Stop looking for another host. Go with KnownHost.
