Matt was FANTASTIC to work with! I was purposefully avoiding the cookie cutter options that typically come to mind when building a website. I knew that Matt was the right choice when I landed on his page. Throughout the process he was quick, responsive, and collaborative. I am very pleased with my website, and I felt that Matt was truly invested in delivering something functional and pleasing to the eye.

It is now one year later and I wanted to update my review. While building the site, Matt was great. He is great at communication and always has been. Here are the issues I have now: 1. The training for word press was not sufficient. It was rushed and confusing, later on when you need to make changes on your own it is difficult. 2. He never told me there would be a cost to make minor changes to my site. He actually told me there would be no charge. The first few months he made them for free, then I asked for a few things to be changed 6 months later and he sent me a bill for $75.00 without telling me up front there would be a charge. I let it go and paid it. I understand getting charged, I was confused on why he did not tell me up front at the end of site build how much making changes would be and when that would start, or why he didn't tell me before he made the change he would be sending me a bill for $75.00. 3. Matt sells SEO help as his product. I found I got no help with SEO. He sent me a guy at first who never talked to me again after the site was built. 4. Content - the women he sent me to do content with was not good, I actually had to rewrite everything she sent me and send to her. So I ended up writing my own content. Overall Matt was so communicative I still felt the experience was decent. A year later I decided I wanted to change my site name and colors and change some content. I told him I could write the content. He still came back with a quote for a brand new site with no discount. I did not need a new site. Now that I have talked to other developers I know that this would not have been hard for him to do. Overall I would not recommend using Matt, up front it seems great but follow up is not good.

Working with Matt Gerber Designs was a great experience from our first meeting with Matt, to the launch of our new website, to the after-launch support and training. He was professional, responsive, and the customer service was excellent - he not only hit the mark on every aspect of design, he went over and above to help us with behind the scenes tools and reporting.
