Design.Garden

Design.Garden has produced and hosted several web-sites for our apartment business over the past 15 years. Their staff have been easy to work with, very professional and patient while working with us until all of the features were perfect. I have loved the websites and feel they have been an effective tool in renting our Madison, WI apartments.

We recently hired Design Garden to host and improve the functionality of our website. They also helped us refresh our brand and look! They did an excellent job of learning about us and providing us with an improved look, voice and tone which we think will help us in cultivating even more awareness of what Project Home does within the community. They also created a dynamic Annual Report template that we can use for years to come. We are happy to have them as partners if/when we have other design projects to be done!

Our previous website was custom-coded which sometimes made processes to be slow and tedious. We wanted to move on from our old website developer due to wanting to be more independent and self-sufficient when updating the site, the lack of customer support responsiveness, and inefficient, clunky back-end tools. We met with large and small companies. After meeting Matt, owner of Design.Garden on multiple occasions, we realized how much we enjoyed his personality, patience, and expertise in website development. We liked being able to meet the founder and someone with a technical knowledge background rather than a salesperson. We appreciated how much he was willing to educate us in areas we didn't understand and address our questions and concerns immediately. One example is explaining the difference between WordPress and custom-made websites, their pros and cons, and which one would be best for our company based on our needs. We also liked that Design.Garden is a smaller company, the communication and relationships with smaller companies seem more genuine. Compared to more expensive companies, Matt asked us questions related to our needs rather than how successful our company has been or our price range. Design.Garden also provided examples and customer reviews to help with any uncertainty. Although we are not finished with our website, we are satisfied with the current results and the customer service provided. Design.Garden has greatly enhanced our design, features, back-end tools, and menu/navigation. These improvements have made the organization of our website more intuitive and have made site updates easier and less cumbersome. We look forward to phase 2 with Design.Garden.

The entire Design Garden team is such a pleasure to work with; they are clever, imaginative, and very responsive to our needs. Their process transparency, patience, and helpful suggestions went a long way in making me feel at home in a space they clearly know so well. I came to Design Garden with an idea that may have been a little radical. Not only did they love my idea, the owner himself helped me get things up and going. I had only one issue ever. When I logged a case for help, someone had responded within five minutes and resolved my issue within fifteen. This kind of service is not something you can get everywhere.
