HiWAAY Internet Services

I am writing this review to warn businesses about this company. I recently discovered that they were blocking many relevant client emails. I have lost several important assignments because of this and it has tarnished my reputation in a competitive field. When I spoked to customer service I could hear the agent sighing on the phone. I was told that they did not know how that happened and can only guess as they only know what goes on for the last week.I was baffled that they can't access more. The agent lacked basic empathy and gave a negative attitude with ineffective solutions. Steer clear from this company if you care about your business.Mine has been severely damaged and no one there cares or is effective at meaningful solution. Gave one star but that is generous and only way to post review.

They deleted my website that I had maintained for 10+ years because they had not updated my email address like I asked multiple times. So, when the CC expired I was not notified or called. In addition they did have my correct email on file for the domain name but did not use that or call. The response from the guy in the tech department is they don't care. There are no managers who care. There is no one to speak with but I can send an email to support. Over the years I had numerous issues with billing and the website. The guy in technical support told me to opine about their customer service online so that's what I'm doing. I would look elsewhere for your provider. Seriously amazing the attitude of companies and their workers in America today.

I have been using HiWAAY internet services ever since Travelers went insane. I've found HiWAAY technical expertise excellent and their availability second to none. In contrast, AT&T and their DSL service was terrible. You couldn't make a proper web page and frequent communication problems, they were clueless. We also tried Comcast internet service but again, their 'web' service was technically incompetent. Comcast reliability left a lot to be desired too. HiWAAY prices are reasonable and they allow user written CGI. In effect, everything needed in a Web server without a bunch of 'layers'. So I keep my Prius studies in basic HTML without having to go nuts. Currently, I'm using a T-Mobile hotspot, $40/month, which worked even during the April 2011, four-day, power outage. THIS IS THE MOST USELESS INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER. I'VE USED THEM FOR 2 YEARS AND YOU HAVE TO LOG INTO 2 DIFFERENT AREAS ONE FOR MAIL AND A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ONE FOR INVOICES...ALSO THEY INADVERTENTLY CHANGE MY PASSWORD AND THE ONLY WAY TO CHANGE IT IS TO CALL THE IDIOTS AT THE COMPANY!!! I'VE BEEN ON THE WEB SINCE 1989 AND THIS IS THE WORST INTERNET COMPANY I'VE EVER WORKED WITH.....I HAD NO CHOICE SINCE THE COMPANY I USED FOR YEARS SOLD OUT TO THESE PEOPLE!

Worst MSP I have EVER worked with. Techs are rude. Service is slow. Response time is terrible. MSPs are a dime a dozen. Steer clear of this one.

Used Hiwaay since the Traveller days....30 years. Still with them!

They don't offer internet in Hazelgreen Al.

Been with Hiwaay for almost 20 years. Been pleased the entire time!
