The Cabin At Camp David

If you are weighing the option of this place versus another, I'd recommend going with the other. It's a little hard to find and their directional signage has weathered a good bit and was slouching down (it was raining) so that it was mostly illegible unless you knew to look for it. They did put out cones to stop people from turning in at certain areas but not until after the event had already started. We were told the cows would be in a different part of the property for the event but they were not. Additionally, no event parking is allowed close to the venue (we rented the barn). You have to park in a field uphill and walk to the main building, so not a great option for those with accessibility concerns, although I do believe they'd make an exception for drop-offs if mobility was an issue. We were under the impression that since we were promised the cows would be moved for the event that the cow poop would also be removed but it was NOT. If you do rent the space, be sure to opt close-toed shoes and maybe bring your own shovel to clean the parking area before guests arrive. Some of the tablecloths we rented from the venue were stained, so you should plan to bring your own if you can. Decoration-wise, they're very strict. They do have white fabric and lights put up already, which was very pretty but some of the light strands had gone out. Additionally, there were political signs posted around the property which I unfortunately hadn't noticed until the day of the event. Communication with the venue was slow and sparse, and we ended up losing our damage deposit because of uncommunicated expectations even though the items they claimed to hold the deposit for were not really "damages." Including a picture of their complaints for reference, because it feels laughably absurd. We did encourage the venue to work towards more straightforward communications and revising their posted check-out list so hopefully the next renter will have a better experience on this front. You usually get what you pay for, but in this case be assured you'll get less.

This venue is absolutely beautiful, and the owner is so easy to work with. My wedding was absolutely perfect here!

My daughter had her wedding here. It met her needs and her husband knows the owners. Has 2 small cabins we used as changing areas and a pavilion for the reception area. All good for something like a wedding or reunion etc. Unfortunately one of the cabins was badly infested with bees and wasps. Too my knowledge now one got stung but was like being under a highway overpass the entire time. The whole surrounding valley is cow pasture. They roam freely around including the parking areas. It is out off a two lane state highway, from there down some dirt roads, don't miss the turn cause the GPS will send you out where the hills have eyes, some of these roads are steep and uneven so recommend at least all wheel drive and a full 4x4 with off road suspension if raining at all. Overall a good place if being way out in the country doesn't spook you.

If you are looking for that right place to hold an outdoor country wedding. Or for possible other events. You really need to take a look at this place. It's nestled right in the middle of a beautiful family farm. Right next to a small lake, among rolling hills and forest. A beautiful spot. It's family owned and they can take great pride in making sure you have the best experience you will remember for a lifetime.

My sister was married here. It's hidden down an old back dirt road but it beautiful and very private! My sister's wedding was lovely evening though it started to rain, it just added to the beauty!

The venue was beautiful, but they didn't have an alternate enclosed area for increment weather. Why not??? The wedding would've been much more enjoyable if everyone could've stayed dry.

Great venue and wonderful owners and staff. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a venue. They went above and beyond our expectations!
