Hag so much fun. Very nice place to view the Northern Lights. They serve Coffee, Hot Cocoa. Warm place to go into after sitting outside. Clean bathrooms. They even had a bonfire outside!

We had a really great time at Aurora Pointe on 3/12/2025. We arrived on time at 10pm and were greeted and checked in immediately. The indoor part of the facility had ample seating with tables, games and books for everyone to use. They also had complimentary coffee, cocoa, tea and wine. Other refreshments and items were available for sale as well. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the Aurora and shared their knowledge with the group along with videos and slideshows. When the Northern Lights did make an appearance (which happened two separate times during the night), they made an announcement and everyone went outside to photograph and enjoy the show. They even set up and took pictures of each group or individual with the lights in the background and shared them online. All in all it was a great night and we got some awesome pictures.

We are so glad we chose Aurora Pointe as an option for trying to see the northernlight rather than a moving night tour. The facility was greatly maintained, the staff were so knowledgeable with a great presentation and helpful. In our 4hrs we didn't see it, wich would have been nice for them to take our photos with good cameras, but they helped set up my phone camera and gave a 5 min away location that we could safely wait to see if the sky would clear. It did!! We saw the Aurora Borialis oun our last night at 4a till 5a unforgettable! Recommend even if you don't see it with them.

Aurora Pointe is an excellent location to view the Northern Lights! It's a great set up. A warm room and lots of games and even some snacks available while you are waiting for the light to appear. The staff is super kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the short talk teaching about the Aurora. Even though it was too cloudy the night we were there to see the lights we still enjoyed our time. Also when you visit you get access to the whole week worth of photos which is a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend visiting Aurora Pointe. We were glad we went on our first night in town. Side note:fortunately the clouds didn't continue and we were able to view the lights all the other night on our trip!

This is one of the best places to experience the northern lights in Fairbanks! It is only a 15 minute drive from Fairbanks, tickets are only $50, the staff is extremely welcoming, the building where you can wait in for the auroras is spacious and comfortable, and it has a great viewing area with open skies. Best bang for your buck to see the northern lights!!!

Just returned from experiencing 9 incredible days in Fairbanks in search of The Northern Lights and we were fortunate to see the Aurora Borealis in 3 out of 4 nights at Aurora Point! It's VERY COLD in January in Alaska so we were grateful to hear about Aurora Point and have a nice heated building to hang out in while we waited for Mother Nature to perform. They offer drinks(water, coffee, hot chocolate , red and white wine) and cookies that are included in price. There are games you can play as well. Sage and Jared were AWESOME. They gave a presentation on the science behind Aurora and took professional pictures of us experiencing the Northern Lights. They also answered any other questions about Alaska that we had. It was truly an experience of a lifetime! So many pictures to choose from. Thank you Jared and Sage and Aurora Point!

It was too cloudy to see the aurora on the night we went but the place is very nice - snacks and hot chocolate or coffee included -- plus warmth inside and fire pit outside kept us cozy on a cold night. The two guys hosting were very knowledgeable; we learned enough about aurora chasing from their presentation to do it on our own -- and the last night in Alaska we finally saw the aurora in Sutton (closer to Anchorage). We also saw Jupiter with binoculars. Great experience!

Aurora Pointe was our last excursion/experience in Fairbanks. I thought it would be just a place to go and view the sky at night and we got that and much more! Getting to Aurora Pointe from Fairbanks is pretty easy. Even with the icy/snowy roads you can reach AP within 30 mins (maybe less if you are used to driving in such conditions!) and there is plenty of parking right next to the main building. The main building is nice, warm and big! They can easily accommodate 100 people inside with tables, chairs and board games to help pass the time. They offer complimentary tea, hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies as well as other items for a fee. If you forgot your tripod they will also rent you one to use while you are there. After a brief presentation explaining the aurora borealis they have two large screens monitoring the borealis activity and once the lights start to show, everyone usually runs out to shoot pics. You can stay out too long in -25F weather so you have to come in now and then to get feeling in your body! We were thankful that AP was open on Thanksgiving and our lead host was super friendly and took great complimentary pics of everyone! He was a pro at taking pics! So good that people thought our photos were fake because they were that good! There are plugs for you to charge your devices in the event your battery levels start to decline but everyone else might be trying to do the same so bring a battery pack to recharge! Viewing period is from 10pm to 2am which allows you to experience the changes of the aurora borealis in the night sky. On the night we went the borealis out on a great show! This is a simple no frills experience but the presentation and the knowledge of the staff makes his experience worth it! Oh and the complimentary pic is better than anything we could take ourselves! Thanks to #aurorapointe for making our last night in Fairbanks a memorable one!
