Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I signed up with GoDaddy for email and have had problem after problem. I can't sign in. It asks me to add security features, I do and then it sends me through a loop to do it over and over again. I called and waited on hold almost an hour and had to hang up. I called back the next day and the same thing happened. I used the chat feature and chatted with someone for over an hour and they still couldn't fix the issue. They knew nothing about their service and kept googling articles and sending them to me and I had already read every article they sent and nothing worked. I called and finally got someone on the phone and it took an hour and they finally said it's going to take at least 90 minutes for it to be resolved. Meanwhile my email is down it's costing me money. If they would have solved problem quickly, I would have chalked it to "things happen". I told them I have lost confidence in their ability to provide reliable email service and that I have paid for a service that doesn't work and that I want a refund for the email accounts so I can move them to another provider. They basically told me to kick rocks. Didn't try to make it right in any way. I DO NOT recommend this business. I am moving all of my email and every other productI can from GoDaddy. I should have read the BBB reviews before signing up and I definitely would have. Mistakes are not the problem. We all make them, but making your customer pay for your mistakes and not owning up to them? No thank you. Not for me. Update: They said it would take 90 min to fix and after 15 hours, it's still not working. Update #2: The reply below says that someone sent me an email trying to understand the issue. I DID NOT receive an email of this nature. More smoke and mirrors from Godaddy.
I purchased a web services package that did not contain what was advertised. When the issue was raised with GoDaddy, they offered to correct their mistake by making me purchase a new package on the premise that they would refund the incorrect package. After weeks of following up, I received a message that they did not approve the refund. In this case, I believe they committed two counts of fraud. Let me detail what happened below. February 26, 2025: I purchased a Managed Wordpress Ultimate plan that was advertised to have three hosted websites, this is priced at 5,988.00 Philipine pesos (106.30USD). However, I was only given one website in the plan. This is the first count of fraud. Upon finding out that I was given only one website in the plan on March 18, 2025, I raised the concern with GoDaddy through their chat support feature on their website. After reporting the concern, the agent whom I talked to offered to correct their mistake by making me purchase a new package on the premise that they would refund the incorrect package. After weeks of following up, I received a message on April 7, 2025 that they did not approve the refund. This is the second count of fraud. I trusted GoDaddy to honor their advertised services and to act in good faith when resolving customer issues. Instead, I was misled into spending more money under false pretenses, only to be denied the promised resolution. This experience has not only cost me financially but has also undermined my confidence in their integrity as a service provider. I am demanding a full refund of the original package as promised, and I urge GoDaddy to take accountability for their actions. If no resolution is offered promptly, I will be forced to escalate this matter further through formal consumer protection channels and public forums to ensure others are warned.
Their support team is not useful at all, they keep repeating scripts to sound polite, but can't help. I'd like talking to a wall. as a business owner i understand that you want to make money, however GoDaddy crossed the line to being a ripoff. Only way i'm allowed to transfer my professional email is by buying back my old domain for $400. Which is causing me all kinds of trouble and probably will lose me my google business profile. They make it sound like it's easy to transfer your professional email, I spoke with the support for an hour on the phone, but unless you paying them $400 for a domain they ain't helping you.
PURCHASE ANYWHERE ELSE!! I WISH I COULD RATE GODADDY LOWER THAN 1! Customer Service is absolutely a joke. Typical large Company mentality - they have millions of customers paying them so there is absolutely NO motivation to treat any one customer well as they have millions more behind them! I looked around at a few possible domains but did not decide to purchase them - only added them to my cart to review and consider later. Immediately after closing my browser, I received a promotional email from GoDaddy offering a 25% discount off any new purchase. SO I took the "bait" and completed the purchase of the domains that I had saved earlier. I entered the discount code they provided - but it did not apply after I hit the purchase button. I called Customer Services and after a LENGTHY debate, they refused to honor the promotion, even after I forwarded the email to them, claiming the 1-year registration already included a 45% discount so the 25% offer does not apply!! Total bait and switch - total misrepresentation and totally crap Customer Service!
Do not under any circumstances use GoDaddy. As a new business owner I'm sure it may be tempting to sign up with this company to make things easier while starting your business. GoDaddy has a cutthroat Terms of Service (TOS) that can hurt and/or disrupt your business without notice. I've been with GoDaddy for 3 years and signed up for their Website+marketing package that included a business phone number. For the past few months I noticed I had no business coming from my business phone number. After wondering what was going on, I decided to call my number and it's disconnected. I received no notice that this service was being disconnected. I have window decal and business cards with this phone number. This is so unacceptable. Their customer service is unbelievably poor and unhelpful. They will say anything they can think of to get you off the phone and when all else fails they will put you on hold and never come back to the phone.
Worst service, products, management, billing, and support from godaddy. I paid web hosting for 5 years, and i was having many issues. I was given advice and suggestions to cancel and purchase another managed hosting plan. After cancelation, i am now being told, no refund, no credit, and nothing. My money is gone, i asked them and begged them to restore the products and find me a solution. They can't, won't, and not eager to help or make a customer happy. Please dont buy any products with godaddy, stay away and avoid this company.
The Worst Support Experience I've Had in Years I've dealt with many hosting providers over the years, but GoDaddy takes the crown for the most incompetent and frustrating support experience I've ever had. After migrating my WordPress site to their hosting, things started to break -- admin privileges disappeared, all internal links redirected to the homepage, and HTTPS settings were completely off. While some of these issues could have been handled quickly with a bit of technical understanding, their support was utterly useless. What's worse is their infuriating chat behavior: every time an agent didn't know how to fix something, they'd go silent, then drop the same canned message -- "Looks like you may have stepped away. No problem, we'll be here to help when you respond." -- even though I was actively waiting. Then they'd close the chat, forcing me to queue for another 20+ minutes just to explain everything all over again to a new agent. I ended up fixing most of the issues myself -- some caused by basic configuration mistakes on their end. If you care about your time, your sanity, and your website, I strongly suggest you avoid GoDaddy at all costs.
I don't like that I can't add coupons to my services. I am a massage therapist and I recently made flyer for my services that include a coupon code that I created. I soon found out that the coupon code can only be add to products and not the services. This doesn't make sense because the payments are collected the same. Coupons are a big part of marketing and gaining new clients, I feel like this is a hindrance to business. Please fix asap!
