Scam of a company. Never join. When you go to cancel, they make it impossible to make your last payment and then send you to collections. Avoid at all costs
This company when you pay perfect every month never late for years and a situation occurs with your family member where you have to disconnect your service early and move to another location on another state. The company will not say you know what you have been a valued customer you have paid your bill on time and we appreciate that so with your contract what we'll do is we're gonna go ahead and forgive the remaining balance and we're not gonna have charging $250 because you disconnected you're in an early. But this company doesn't care about you they care about money but money that's why they have such bad reviews did I ever pick up the phone that always disconnects with you next with you they have bad service to in and out always being disconnected. So if I were you please don't go with this company they just want to rip you off.
I would be willing to change my review, if they would be willing to improve their services. As it is currently, they charge quality prices for inferior internet services. Editing to add: It seems as though they have changed the name of their company on Google, but not in person, as though they are attempting to escape the bad reviews. "Wehco Video" is indeed RESORT TV CABLE. They don't allow reviews on their FB page, because they know they would have horrible ones. Tip for the company: If you improve your services, you'll stop getting bad reviews based on how horrible your services are. Edit: Two years later, their service is STILL terrible, they're STILL upping contract prices every year, without an increase in quality. Also, we're now midst worldwide pandemic, with many people out of work. It's SUPER SCUMMY that they'd even CONSIDER upping prices at all. Post-Pandemic Edit: Still crap. Prices have increased, no return on "value". Not that I expected anything different. 2024 edit: nothing has changed.
Have used Resort for at least 20 years for my Internet service because they offer the only high speed option in my area. They are pricey. I pay $89 month for mid-level service. I was down over three days just last month, but did not get any credits. Upper tier techs provide excellent service, once you get transferred. If there was another high speed affordable option, I'd definitely give it a try. An update: Called for service. They scheduled me in an 8-10 spot. They didn't show; they didn't call. Upon calling the office I was told time of arrival would be after 1:00. Epic Fail! It's a good thing Entergy is a stand-up company for service or my tree would still be standing.
This is literally one of the worst internet service providers I have ever had. I can say I have not had any experiences with rude customer service staff, but the speed is almost always trash. I have the most expensive "extreme" package, yet I am constantly experiencing outages and slow speeds and every single time I call customer service and have a tech sent to my home, they tell me every time that they don't see any issues. When my promotional package was ending this year, I received a letter in the mail to renew at a $20 higher price, only to log into my account and discover they actually automatically increased my account by $60 per month. Where's the benefit for returning customers if the prices are only going to go up while the service isn't improving? You're better off going elsewhere. I know I am certainly not renewing my plan with them.
What can be said that hasn't already? I suppose the speed of internet is decent enough, that is when it isn't down for some inexplicable reason which happens about once or twice a month. I spent over an hour on the phone asking why and I ended up with them telling me they don't know and good luck. If it weren't the only option in town..oh if it weren't the only option in town. Here's a fun update: About a month ago someone with a close to my address decided to sign up for Resort TV Cable..he brought in his renter's agreement with my address on it. Mind you, I paid my bill about two weeks before this. They cut off MY complete service, a hard disconnect. I had to call and stay on the phone for 2 1/2 hours. There was nothing they could do. I had to go in person to the store - and take off work the next morning to do this - only to have them not believe me and request my mortgage papers because, again, a new customer had accidentally put my address on his renter's agreement. No call, no email, no text, nothing. Just a hard disconnect. Here's a fun thing to do, go in with a legit-looking renter's agreement with an address to ANYWHERE/ANYONE in town and it is their policy to disconnect an address if you sign up with theirs. It's a complete clown show. Look, I don't want to be this hard on them. As the only option in town, I would LOVE if they were better. I hope one day they will be, but until then, dealing with them is very frustrating.
I have been a customer for 13 years and yall give new customers a better deal on cable TV and internet, that is just not right to me. Now I also understand if I cancel my TV and go to someone else for at least 30 days, then come back i would be considered a NEW customer and would be offered the best deals. I ask you what is wrong with this?
for the last 5 days the server for my email and my wife's email has been down with no repair time given.I have been on the phone during this time for over 4 hours being told that they have no repair time in sight. Asked to speak with a supervisor was told by the call center that an actual resort supervisor was not available. Was told by tech support 2 days ago that they would forward our email to my hot mail account you guessed it still waiting . As soon as I can locate another provider my $160.00 a month bundle will be like their service it will be gone.
