Rodeway Inn On Historic Route 66

Perfect for our one-night stay on the way to Yosemite. We were able to do our laundry (1 washing machine and 1 dryer), which we couldn't at the previous place. Friendly receptionist, clean rooms, quiet - and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Great value for the price!

We stayed for one night and were very satisfied. The room was absolutely fine in terms of price and quality - clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The breakfast was tasty and a great start to the day. A special highlight was the friendly lady at the reception, who gave us a warm welcome. She was very kind and helpful - and her adorable dog was a lovely surprise! Overall, a very pleasant stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

This is my go-to motel in Barstow- I honestly can't imagine staying anywhere else. Like all Rodeway Inn locations, this property is affiliated with Choice Hotels, making it easy to book through the app and earn valuable reward points. But it feels like a local mom-and-pop business in all the best ways- the couple who manage the place always check me in personally, they keep the guests company during breakfast, and are available to answer questions throughout the day. Since they only have a small staff, it's easy to get to know them personally- they're good people! The rooms aren't particularly fancy, but the beds are comfortable, and although the bathrooms are very small, they include both showers and tubs, which frequently isn't the case even at high-end resorts. A few of the rooms include kitchens, complete with ovens, stove tops, and full-size refrigerator/freezers- this is great for those who want to take advantage of the local grocery stores, which are well-stocked and available on major delivery apps. Most of the upstairs rooms have good views of the nearby hills. And another great thing about the property... the managers have two fluffy, adorable medium-sized dogs, who generally stay away from public areas, but sometimes go out to the parking lot to play and exercise. They will leave you alone if you don't feel like playing, but they are very friendly towards those of us who are in the mood for some informal canine therapy. Hanging out with them is always a highlight of my trip! The location is also good- it's not a fancy area, but there are plenty of affordable restaurants nearby, and a small movie theater where I frequently enjoy popular first-run films in virtually-empty auditoriums. And speaking of the area, Barstow itself is a real hidden gem for those who want a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of big city life. It's readily accessible by car or bus from both LA and Las Vegas, and although it's a transportation hub with plenty of modern amenities, I generally find the atmosphere peaceful, quiet, and relaxing (this is probably less true on weekends and holidays, when the people of California and Nevada love to go road-tripping). For those of us who love the Great Outdoors, Barstow is small enough that the open desert is never far away. Rainbow Basin and the Calico Mountains are easy day trips, and both areas feature gorgeous desert rock formations, along with some lovely (and blissfully non-crowded) hiking trails.

Excellent motel for the price. We arrived to Barstow late & were a little nervous upon arriving downtown, but the motel felt safe & secure. The parking lot was full with many other travelers. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome & Bindi was especially helpful with check in! The breakfast was free & the staff made fresh scrambled eggs. Would definitely stay here again if in Barstow.

I stopped in to this cozy little hotel on the way to California. Karishma checked me in and was very polite and funny! The property both indoors and outdoors was clean and well maintained. My room was tidy and comfortable and i had plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows! The breakfast was amazing and the two women working in the morning were so nice and helpful! Iwill absolutely come back the next time I'm passing through Barstow!

The room was clean, but the air conditioner should urgently be upgraded. It is super noisy and does not work properly. If you are looking for a quiet place or if you are lung weak this is not the place for you.

Bindi and Ms. Nikki were so awesome!! Y'all, I left my very $$$$ wedding shoes there when we went to Anaheim to pick up my dress. Bindi contacted me as soon as she found them in our room, got my address, and shipped them to me. The facility was as awesome as Bindi and Ms. Nikki! I HIGHLY recommend staying here. It's in a great location as I was able to walk to Dutch Bros safely and get my coffee. We will definitely stay there again!!

Very comfortable, Extremely well maintained rooms. Great Wi-Fi, fridges in room, ample hot water, Hot breakfast. Family owned and run. You can tell that they put a lot of attention into maintenance and providing a great, affordable motel. I would stay again.
