Customer Reviews & Testimonials
A great place. It would look better if there's a big UPS logo signages inside the store like before. If you look around inside, you wouldn't know it's UPS.
I went into the UPS store yesterday and Kyzer waited on me. He went above and beyond to help me with my transaction. Very personable and professional. Thanks for all your help Kyzer. UPS is lucky to have you as their employee.
Staff has huge attitude all the time! They don't honor official coupons sent by their own official company and their location address showing on the coupon! I showed the coupon and was told that it was a scam and they don't accept any coupons whatsoever!! Prices listed online are not updated so do make sure you call or ask first before getting service otherwise be ready for a surprise! I was charged double the price for photos. This is not the first time either. My last several past experiences have not been good at this location either. I go there for convenience but this time was the last straw!
I paid for their package receiving service - ie: "use our address and we will hold your package". I had a very important package sent and a "new employee" refused the package - for no reason. (They didn't even look up my name in the system.) Now my package is en route to the shipper and I will be unable to get it back because it was limited supply. The assistant manager I spoke with was very apologetic and I appreciate her taking the time to help me out. Overall, Im very disappointed with the outcome, but now know to not send important items to this business.
I come here all the time to return my Amazon stuff. The employees (the ladies) here are efficient and they're always working. The line usually moves pretty fast even if it's to the door.
DO NOT use this or any other UPS locations for your NOTARY needs. Apparently, the forms they are using are rejected by the Sacramento apostil office. I paid $90 to notarize some documents, drove to Sacramento, stayed in line for 30 minutes, only to be told that forms are not valid by their standards, so I had to leave the office, find local notary service to notarize my documents with proper forms, come back, wait in line again and finally apostille my documents, and I was given a formal rejection letter by the apostle office to get a refund from the UPS. To my attempt to get a refund with a receipt and all, I was denied, the UPS store manager in Castro Valley, refused the refund, and printed out a completely different even from their store form to prove it's legit, and claimed the representatives in the apostille office in Sacramento are wrong and are trying to scam people. I kid you not.
I went to the Castro Valley UPS for a live scan; the employees(two women and one man) were very charismatic, super helpful, and brightened my evening.
I come in at least once a week. I'm almost embarrassed to say, I haven't captured the names of the wonderful employees who I typically run into. Today, I cannot say I had the same experience. I brought in a box and needed to pay to print the label and packing slips because our printer ink dried up. The woman at the front desk had an attitude immediately upon me walking up to the counter. I tried my best to smile and bring positive energy her way, but she continued to express herself in the most unfriendly (I hate my job) fashion. Upon checking out, she claimed I needed to pay for a roll of tape because the box was open. I brought it in open because I needed to add the packing slips once printed. Ive done this before and have never had to bring or buy a roll of tape by any of the other kind employees. She refused to add one piece of tape to the box, so I had to shell out $8 for a roll. Please UPS - maintain the integrity of your hires here. They are all wonderful happy people. I've watched this woman on multiple occasions work her way through the day and not smile at anyone who approaches her. It's sad and damaging considering how friendly the others are, and I will personally avoid coming in or being helped by her moving forward. FedEx is just as close, but the staff at UPS is one of the reason I come here in addition to the new self served kiosk. Nobody wants to stand in line and be treated like this! Kuddos to the others and I promise to add names once I get them because once a bad egg is present, it really does make you appreciate the good ones.
