I used their services in 2020 when they were the only option vs. AT&T and they turned out to be better than AT&T for the area I lived in. When I contacted them in 2023 to see if they serviced the area where I was moving to, they lied to me and told me they could if I purchased a tower. They sent me a picture of the tower and requested I prepay $2,200. They promised to install the tower on a specific date. The installation day came and they showed up without a tower to barely do a survey! I was super upset because I needed the service to work. At that time they offered to provide a hot spot until they installed the tower. A whole year went by and they never produced the tower, they were just excuse after excuse, not professional at all. When I told them I could not wait any longer they came up with every excuse to not issue me a refund. They only refunded me $500 claiming the hot spot vendor screwed them up. That is not my problem. I even offered to have them deduct the $70 per month cost for the hot spot and they still didn't come through. I filed a small claim and they did not show up for trial, so I was issued a judgment and they have yet to pay me what I am owed after 2 years! Stay away!!!! Jelly Digital, the judgment is public knowledge and is not "alleged" but will be happy to provide you with a copy even though one was mailed to your office.
Speeds were never anywhere near advertised, unstable connection, lots of downtime, had technicians come out numerous times to fix the signal and nothing. In the end we had to switch to a different service. Jelly started with a great business plan if they could actually keep up with their claims at the pricing they had but they just couldn't, and even today they have almost 1.5x their price from when I had the service.
Horrible internet speeds. Was told i was SUPPOSED to get high speed internet, but instead on a daily basis i get download speeds of TWO mbs. This is a disgrace of internet and quite POSSIBLY the worst ive ever had. Not to mention it goes out nearly EVERY month and whenever it rains my internet speeds go even LOWER. If you want crappy internet, go here, because youre not getting anything worse anywhere else.
This has been the worst experience from beginning to end. Starting off with the installation date. They gave me a window of 3-5pm and no one bothered to call me. It's only after I called them and they initially mentioned they were running late on a job and said they WOULD be there. I had to call back at 6:30pm and they advised they would stop by next day and apologized. Next day's window was 9-11am. Tech shows up at 11:10am. The tech says he was unaware I was in a 2 story apartment building and did not have a proper ladder (this is disclosed in your initial appointment set up). He then advised he would only be leaving a connection and asked if I had a router, I advised him I was never advised I needed my own router, and then said "Well... I'll see if I have a extra router". No router was provided. Install tech left and did not even show me the connections speeds. I reached out to their number and was advised they would bring me a router next day, that never happened. By day 3 I purchase my own router, paid $80 dollars for it. Once I connect my router I find out my speeds are not as promoted 200/100mbps. I reach out to them because my speeds are not as promoted even connecting via direct ethernet to their connection. I was at 80/10. I kept communicating via text and email and only get responded sporadically. I was even told that the reason their connection could not be optional it's because the router has to be set in a bridge mode. I'm computer literate and I asked to provide me instructions on how to do that. No response. I honestly was trying to help a local company but this service is the worst I've seen in any industry in a very long time. I've been in the sales/customer service industry for over 20 years I suggest you stay away from this company or contract them at your own risk. I gave them a 1 star because I could post this without at least rating 1.
Jelly digital, by far, has been the best internet provider that we've received. I was with Cox for 25+ years and could never get fast, complete, internet. Even with fiber, our connection was never as good as it is now, with Kelly Digital. Not only is our connection better, faster, and stronger, but the customer service is by far second to none. With Cox, I had to call in and wait for hours for help. With Jelly digital, I can sent a text and they answer with real solutions. When my router was disconnected, they answered my text within 15 minutes with advice and suggestions. They even checked in with me the next day to see that my husband connected the router correctly. This impressed me because it shows they care about you, as a customer. I've been with jelly digital for a few years now and could not be happier with the service and connection I receive.
Update: Jelly was dropped due to poor connection stability despite having techs come out numerous times to fix. Not worth the headache. I started using Jelly digital a couple months ago, and to be completely honest there were a lot of hitches in the beginning due to a lack of staff and towers, however recently they increased their manpower and added a new tower in mount Miguel which i am connected to. This new tower fixed all of my problems and now i am very happy with my internet at an average of 180 download and around 100 upload. I live on a hill so usually it's very overpriced for my wifi, i used to pay $60 a month with ATT for 50mbps which when revived was only about 35, additionally this was the only isp i could use and it was the fastest speed, but now that jelly is here i can finally have good internet. Overall i had a rough start but i feel that as a company Jelly Digital made up for it and now i'm comfortable with my speed and latency. Thanks Jelly!
Jelly Digital Technicians Devon and Ignacio are very professional and knowledgable. They identified and corrected my connectivity issue and increased my throughput substantially. One day prior I had an issue that reduced my speeds to nearly dial-up, ughh... After remote working with Jelly Digital they sent the technicians out within hours to correct the issue. Greatly appreciate the response.
The people that work here are very nice. The service drops a lot several times a month or day for long periods of time. It's frustrating especially when you are doing school work or work from home. I hate giving ok or bad reviews, but it affects my family's life. Goes out in the middle of an online test. Not good. I was going to give it a 2 star, but we'll see how it keeps going. I'm actually currently waiting for them to respond today. Update: They responded and said made some changes to my connection. It's seems to be running very smooth now.
