I hate Astound. I finally found a new provider that wouldn't have to drill holes in the apartment walls, which is what prevented me from changing sooner. I have been trapped with this awful company with a bill that just kept increasing and increasing. Paying $118 just for internet is crazy. Trying to cancel the service is horrible. They wouldn't even provide confirmation that I requested to end the service. It's a "trust me bro" situation. As a warning, they do not prorate for sevices that end before the billing cycle. You will still be charged. Good riddance.

Liars and thieves. Astound broadband powered by wave. I'm located in Concord, California. Phone Rep lowered my monthly payment because the price doubled overnight. Phone Rep said pay 140 today and that will cover Jan-Mar. Now I have a bill due for March. It was on a recorded line but they won't review to hear and honor what the rep told me on the phone. Shady. Bad customer service.

Update: This is my 5th bill that still isn't the price that I was promised. The fees that Astound tacks on are worse than the banks' now banned fees for low balance, overdraft and extra services. Astound over charged me again. I spent 2 hours to get that straightened out. My autodraft payment bounced due to the exorbitant wrongful fees. After the credit from Astound to make things right, I paid my bill EARLY for which I was charged the privilege of $1 fee. Really? a fee to pay early? Still, I now find extra fees added to this bill. This is the 5th bill that is wrong since becoming a customer. Your billing department and policies make Comcast look good in comparison. I lament that I can't quit you unless I move out of my new rental condo. I hate you. Install tech and new service reps lied. Disappointed. 1st time customer. Forced onto Astound at new rental condo. Intermittent connectivity. Mayhem in being able to provide consistent and accurate information. 1) Install techs stuffed me with services--said my current modem-router wouldn't work even though it worked 24 hours prior at the old apartment and lied that my coaxial cable wouldn't work despite a very short distance and needs for a 2-bdrm condo. 2) Install techs and phone rep during time of install didn't give the me the new customer promotion nor present all of the options. The price for 600mbps was so ridiculous that I chose 300mbps so as to figure out options later rather than in the midst of install and moving chaos. Apparently, I am ineligible for new customer discount because of what I was coerced to take over the phone during installation. 3) Intermittent connectivity. No kidding. My family has experienced dropped connection several times a day some days. 4) We don't consistently get 300Mbps speed...so if they allegedly offer higher speeds, why can't they at least deliver 300? 5) I get different answers from each person I speak with except the consistent one that I am not allowed to have the new customer promotion despite being a new customer. SADLY, LIKE AN ABUSIVE BOYFRIEND, I can't get out from Astound unless I break lease on my new rental condo.

Terrible TERRIBLE service. My Internet goes out at least once an hour, I take pictures of my tv when it does. I've tried to call customer service and get nowhere due to their limited service hours. I live alone and I'm at work during the service hours. Nobody will help me and I guess I'm just stuck. I think it's just a bad router (their equipment) but I wouldn't know because I can't take a day off work to have it checked. Worst decision I've made with internet providers...well 2nd only to Comcast.
