Customer Reviews & Testimonials

I paid an arm & a leg to stay at this hotel during Coachella - I won't even tell you how much but you can take a guess. I was highly disappointed with the room for the cost. The photos online showed what looked like an older, but decently clean hotel room. The room I stayed in was far from clean, there was hair stuck in the drain from the last guest, the ceiling was falling in in the bathroom, and the bed felt like it had one singular spring in it. The pillows were as flat as a sheet. It definitely felt more like a motel. The one positive was that the hotel staff was nice, however they would not refund my stay and only gave a $100 credit on Expedia. I don't recommend staying here unless it's cheap for the dates you pick.

Decided to take a trip with the family to Desert Hot Springs and was told that the Mineral Pool was a must try! Upon arrival were truly Blessed to have been helped by Tracy. Such a very Kind & Caring Person. Customer Service was an experience worth coming back to. So thank you so so much to Tracy and the friendly staff for providing an Amazing Experience. Definitely a must-go Summer Vacation/Stay. Many Thanks Again Tracy, looking forward on booking our next trip with you

True the neighborhood isn't as posh as Palm Springs and I have to wonder what the other reviewers were expecting at this price point. We found our newly refurbished rooms to be very clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hot pools were awesome. It was a little bit of a pain to wait until 4 o'clock to check in. The food was good (nothing special) and drinks were reasonably priced. Wish they served poolside, but hey, it's not so bad to get out of the pool to go get your own food and drinks from the bar. All in all, we had a very relaxing time. Loved the retro motel vibe and the fact that there is no sulphuric smell in the springs water.

Desert Hot Springs Hotel and Spa continues to be one of our favorite getaways, and a big part of that is the outstanding service we receive--especially from Tracy at the front desk. She is truly a gem. Tracy goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and cared for, and her customer service is simply the best we've experienced. She is warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful, always with a smile and a genuine willingness to assist. It's clear she takes pride in her work, and it shows in every interaction. We're grateful for her and look forward to returning again soon.

We really love this place because the mineral pools are amazing. While there meeting new people, making new friends is so fun. One of the bar tenders is a professional singer and we LOVE going there to hear her beautiful voice. The only issue recently was after we extended our stay for one more night, the maid came knocking and woke us up because she didn't know we already paid for another night. We told her we extended the stay and she very rudely demanded that we go to the front desk to prove it. Being woke up and then treated so rudely was most unexpected and unpleasant. As we were about to go to the front desk, she came back and said that she had called the front desk and found out we were all good to stay. This is what she should have done in the first place instead of talking to us so rudely as if we were doing something wrong. Overall it's a great place to relax, meet new people, and have fun but the communication between maid service and front desk apparently needs improvement and the maid service attitude needs serious corrective adjustment.

Seems like an older motel. Rooms are clean, bathroom fixtures on older side. It seems to be a popular place to stay. Security is good and I think the most outstanding aspect of this establishment is the friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful. It's reasonably close to Joshua Tree NP, Palm Springs, super markets. I would stay here again if needed.

This was one of those you get what you pay for situations. I stayed at this hotel to explore the Palm Springs area as well as Joshua Tree National Park. The reason why I stayed here was because it was within my budget. The room I stayed in was practically outdated. The room had 2 sinks, one in the bathroom and another just outside the bathroom next to the entrance door and that sink while the faucet was completely off had water dripping. The bathroom wasn't any better. The counter was cracked and looked straight out of the 70s and definitely could have used a deep clean. The cover for the bathroom fan was missing a screw so the cover was kinda hanging off the ceiling. The shower was a fight of good and evil because it was bipolar. I say bipolar because it was either super cold or scalding hot, there was really no middle. Lastly in the sleeping area. The curtain rod needs to be moved a couple of inches so that way the curtains can fully shut. The way the building is set up, there are some rooms where their doors are facing the parking lot and not the pools so you have to walk by the windows of other rooms and with the curtains not being able to close, someone could look inside. Keep in mind, I have stayed at other hotels similar to this one and could look past some flaws, but this is the first time I have experienced this kind of bad. The staff were nice but next time I do head to the Palm Springs area, I'll just bite the bullet and stay in Palm Springs at a better hotel.

We loved this place so much. Good for groups. It is 50s funky quirky. The staff is marvelous and American food home done and delicious. It rained hard when we were there, didn't bother us or any one else. Mineral water pools felt so good. Since it rarely rains there were leaks, but we didn't care. Buckets caught the drops. Karaoke some night. It all was great fun!
