Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I love the pier always walk it as much as possible. Relaxed walk people are chill. Even though you're not supposed to bring your dog people do. Otherwise it's nice but not a huge issue I love dogs anyway, Karen's and Paul's please stay away from this place, you won't like it and it's not for you.
This was a quiet beach when I came on a sunny afternoon which is rare for San Diego beaches. There is plenty of room to fish on the pier and it's nice to walk here and enjoy the sights of the ocean. The waves are nice and there are hardly any surfers in the water probably because it's contaminated but that didn't stop them lol. Parking is free for two hours in the green (if you manage to find any) other than that, it's $2 for parking.
Wow! Loooong pier! 1/4 mile? Rode my bike out to the end. ;-) Solid construction, plenty of fishers. Restaurant at the end looks good , nice menu, focusing on seafood at reasonable prices (these days). Call ahead and they will fetch you in one of their golf carts for dining! Good luck finding their number I had to go out there to get the current number! Cheap parking nearby $2 for 8hrs!
Imperial Beach Pier is a great spot to relax and enjoy the ocean. The vibe here is super chill, and it's a popular place for fishing--you'll see lots of people with their lines in the water. Even if you're not fishing, it's nice to walk along the pier, take in the views, or watch the surfers. Parking can be a bit tricky since most of it is street parking. But there's a small $2 parking lot right next to the pier, which is really convenient. Just keep in mind, the spots fill up quickly, especially on busy days. If you're looking for a laid-back place to hang out, enjoy the sea breeze, or catch a sunset, this is the perfect spot. Simple, relaxing, and worth a visit!
A great way to unwind--strolling along the Imperial Beach Pier, listening to the ocean and seagulls while watching sea lions play. The views were incredible, stretching from the San Diego coastline to the Coronado Islands. Enjoyed the salty breeze and ended the adventure with a delicious coconut pineapple ice cream in a waffle cone.
Nice place to take a nice walk. Went at night, so not much else to do in the area but the pier and landscape/yard around it was really nice and decorated for the holidays. There's a bathroom but the electric wasn't working in it, so I had to use my cell phone lights
A relaxed slice of our day. We like to fish and walk this pier. People are friendly and from all walks of life. Gorgeous views. Sea lions common to see. Bathrooms at the entrance and out on the pier.
The ocean is my happy place so when we found ourselves close to the Pacific, I was fortunate enough to be able to go. I picked Imperial Beach Pier because it appeared it might be less crowded. It definitely was. Walking the pier was amazing because of the views and because of the signs posted along the way. There is a restaurant at the end and a sign saying that this is the most southwesterly Continental point on the map for the United States. It was absolutely gorgeous the day we visited but we could not get in the water because of a sewage/chemical spill. That was so disappointing. But it was still one of the most amazing experiences of my life. There is no cost to walk the pier.
