DAOU Vineyards

We are on a road trip and booked for wine tasting experience at DAOU vineyards - it was fantastic. Best wine tasting we ever had with amazing landscape, products and warm hospitality. What a day we had and we look forward to going back there. Our big thank you's to Marino, Gabriel and William for being such great hosts to our family (we are travelling with 3-year-old son and he also had a great fun there even he is way too young to drink!). If we could rate more than 5-star - we will! Highly recommended!

The property is absolutely stunning - amazing views! We ended up at Daou on members weekend (despite not being members) so our tasting included some fantastic wines that aren't part of the normal tasting menu. What made this experience 5 stars is that our host, Gabriel, went above and beyond. He was super accommodating and helped us explore wines that were not on the tasting menu to inform our purchases. We ended up buying 15 bottles among our group of six, and that was a testament to both the quality of the wine and the experience. If you are looking for a small "indie" experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere, but our group had a great time.

Beautiful winery and surroundings atop a hill, overlooking vineyards. On the higher side of the wine tasting prices at $50 per person. We also had lunch. The steak tartare lacked salt but was also overwhelmed by the amount of sliced green olives. That's all you really tasted. It needed some acidity like Dijon based mustard dressing and/or capers and shallots. A bit disappointing considering the price.

First time visiting Daou and I can say that this place was excellent from the time you drive up the hill to see the vineyards. I recommend making a reservation so that you can get wine tasting and a charcuterie board while being offered one of the better views of the property. I also recommend the chocolate mousse dessert if you want something sweet. The staff were incredibly attentive and I rarely had to wait for service. Definitely worth the visit.

We had a great experience at DAOU! Our family's Italian market buys some of their wines for the store so we wanted to come visit. We are so happy we did! The grounds are breathtaking, the winery's stories are amazing, and the staff is superb. We enjoyed everything we tried and all the information that was given to us. We really appreciated them treating us so well. You can't beat the views!

I had a great experience. It's a beautiful property, and picture perfect scenery. The wine was fabulous and the food delicious. Our educator/server was Chasen. He couldn't be more delightful. Would highly recommend.

Despite being on a waiting list for several weeks and unable to secure a required reservation at Daou, our small group of five showed up first thing on a recent Saturday morning and incredibly, were able to be seated outside for a tasting! I've since read that you even need a reservation just to pick up some wine, so we were very grateful that it worked out for us. We were greeted at the entrance with a sparkling rose and ushered to outdoor sofa seating amid their stunning gardens and vineyard views. Elika was an outstanding and extremely personable server, providing lots of history and stories behind the wines. We enjoyed a delicious mezze platter and even got to chat with executive chef Spencer Johnston as he came out for some herb cuttings. We tasted a range of Bordeaux-style wines, as well as a few of their Patrimony single varietal wines. My favorites were the 2023 Estate Sauv Blanc and their flagship 2021 Estate Soul of a Lion. It was definitely a treat to get to experience Daou, with their excellent wines, customer service and atmosphere!

Very nice views!!!! Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time and be prepared for a 150 dollar bill for wine tasting and cheese plate. Also beware of signing up for the wine club as there are no final prices listed on sign up sheet
