I have been a dataNOC customer for many years and wanted to take some time to talk about my experience. First off understand this is a small datacenter, not one of the mega HE or SWITCH compounds back east. The power is rock solid and clean, I'v only had 1 issue in the past 5+ years and it was less than an hour outage and no power supply issues on any equipment. The datacenter floor is clean, I recently removed several old servers and it was brand new on the inside. Connectivity is fast, my rack has a shared 1Gbps link and I average 800-900Mbps U/D, (that's a free link btw) so its more then enough, lots of available IPV4 space, low latency, and sustained provider grade throughput. The cool part about a smaller datacenter is that if I requested a 10Gb WAN drop, it would be available in my rack in 24 hours, or less. Other datacenters would take over a week for a request like that. I recently did a rack migration and they let me cross connect to move the data, helped rack, label and talk shop about the new setup at no additional charge. When you arrive, its not armored guards with guns, man traps and a show, your greeted with a smile and a handshake by Tim, the lead engineer, who knows you by name, knows your equipment, its quirks and even checks on thigs for ya during higher usage times of the year. If you are looking to collocate your equipment in a professional, reliable and clean environment with a personal touch, this is the place, I just refreshed my rack and plan on being there for another 7+ years. The only con... cuz I guess there has to be one, is that you cant access your rack randomly 24/7 you need to make an appointment for after hours maintenance. Obviously if there is an outage someone is onsite to meet you, but that's not a big deal and if your making more then 4 trips a year to the DC and cant remediate stuff remotely or use a remote hand request, IP-KVM might change your life .....lol
