Yelp is terrible for business They think they're creating an honest community with good reviews however AI decided which review to leave it delete They deleted my 11 five-star reviews and left only 8 moreover today somebody with a fake account reviewed my business and the description of the review was selling domains for business Yelp AI doesn't recognize fake reviews but it easily will delete your true reviews without a chance to dispute it. Yelp has become one of the worst review platforms imaginable. Not only do they hide good reviews, but they instantly publish any negative ones. I've been paying for Yelp ads for years now. Never did any of my five-stars get published yet they're sitting there where only I can see. Yet finally we get a negative review for the first time in over two years, and instantly, it gets posted. Thank you. Hundreds of reviews on Google sitting at a 5-star in NYC of all places.

Yelp is worthless to consumers and businesses. The way reviews are manipulated, the constant email and phone harrassment to advertise with them is a never ending hell. They don't give a crap about fake reviews, blackmail reviews and review that harms a business, they will leave it up. And then have the balls to remove good reviews. Another reason our system is corupted is maining because of this company. Yelp not only ruins small bussiness and promotes fake corporate america. Please don't use Yelp. Yelp truly has destroyed the really good business that were passionate helping people. I have persnally been blackmailed by clients using a fake bad reviews that yelps algorithim did not filter. The client literally told me if I wanted it removed it would cost $200. When I brought this up to Yelp, they not only didn't help me. They filtered most of my positive reviews because I pulled all of my advertising. They continuously bug you and hound you over the phone every day to consider advertising with them finally after literally years of them calling every single day I cursed them out and they banned my account . They are literally the worst thing that happened to small business since Walmart . You will not only regret advertising with the Yelp you will regret dealing with them completely. It's best not to even mention their name. Use their stickers. Tell your clients that yelp is the worst thing for business.

Title: Yelp Took Advantage of My Vulnerability - Beware Their Predatory Tactics I'm writing this review not just to warn others, but to make people aware of the unethical and aggressive sales practices Yelp uses. They contacted me relentlessly -- sometimes up to five times a day -- pushing me to sign a contract. They promised me over 900 clients, which immediately showed how little they understood my business model. I run a small pet care company, and for every 6-8 new clients, I need to hire a new employee. I was not -- and am still not -- in any position to manage 900 new customers. Despite my hesitation, they kept calling and pushing. At the same time, I was dealing with something very personal and painful: my father was terminally ill, and I was working extra jobs to help cover his medical expenses. I was emotionally overwhelmed and vulnerable. On the day I finally agreed to speak with a representative named Amarilla about the contract, I was in a fragile mental state. She started fast-talking me through a $1,300/month agreement. Halfway through, I realized this was wrong -- I told her directly: "I'm sorry, I've changed my mind. I can't go forward." And yet... they charged me anyway. I later discovered that Yelp had been charging me $1,300 per month for six months. That's $7,800. I accept some responsibility for not checking my bank statements more carefully -- I had too much on my plate and trusted Yelp as a reputable company. But that trust was severely misplaced. Now that I've tried to reach out for a refund, it's nearly impossible to get a real person on the phone. Funny how when they wanted to take my money, they called nonstop. But now that I need to talk to someone -- silence. Shame on Yelp for taking advantage of someone during a deeply vulnerable time. Shame on them for pushing contracts without compassion or understanding of a small business's needs. And shame on them for making it so hard to get support when things go wrong. This is not how business should be done in America. p.s. It is unbelievable, Yelp's CEO, Jeremy Stoppelman, reportedly earns over $11 million per year, with the vast majority of that coming from bonuses, stock, and options -- not even salary. He owns about 1.25% of Yelp's shares, valued at over $28 million. Meanwhile, small business owners like myself are being exploited, misled, and charged thousands without meaningful support or results. Someone like him, profiting off the backs of struggling entrepreneurs, should be held accountable -- if not legally, at least morally.

Endless sales calls. If you sign up, prepare for a constant flood of calls pressuring you into paid ads that don't deliver results. Misleading ad practices. Yelp tells businesses their ads only work if they offer a 100% money-back guarantee. That's not a realistic or fair expectation. Instead of wasting time and money on Yelp, invest in platforms that actually work--Google, Facebook, Nextdoor, Care.com, ActivityHero, Winnie, and Upwards. A company that claims to help small businesses grow!?!?!?!? How can you claim that when you rape small businesses for fake leads calling them real?!?!?!? Paid out around $700 from the first of the year until now for we will call if 2 leads, all the while the backend steadily showing leads going up. Where were all the leads your site claims we had????
