InMotion Hosting

Honestly I've found InMotion really good - their chat is available 24 hours 7 days a week. I've been hosting several sites for coming up to a decade now and I don't think I've ever really had more than 5 minutes of downtime in any given year and then only because I've done something stupid.

I've been with InMotion Hosting just over 7 years now and I just renewed for 2 more years. I've only needed to call tech support a 1/2 dozen times during that time and I always get to speak to someone quickly. They also have ALWAYS solved my problem quickly. All my issues were self inflicted on my end due to my lack of knowledge. I don't see myself ever looking for a different hosting company. Highly recommended.

Can not get simple, direct answer from chat agents how much service is. Good luck, if you can even get signed up with them. I went a different direction because I do not like being lied to about how much my subscription is going to be. Response to reply: when I ask how much it is going to be for 5 websites? I say I want everything included, migration, ssl, firewalls, malware scanned and removed, plus things I have never heard of, you can make up to add, all add-ons, all extra things, all fees and taxes, and still can not beg for a direct price for the best plan, you have a problem. That is the problem I ran into.

BEST HOSTING!!! I have been using InMotion Hosting for myself and my clients for over 4 years now, and they ALWAYS help me with difficult and confusing tasks and go above and beyond. Worst hosting I've ever used. My sites have gone down on a few occasions with these guys and they've NEVER been any help. Once, all of my sites mysteriously went down and they didn't help. Today one site went down and they don't even have a backup from more than a day ago. Other hosts have backups for a week or two. Not these guys. My Wordpress theme crashed the whole site. They don't help with Wordpress, so I get that. But they gave me no options at all to help. After spending time on the phone, I hung up and looked into my Cpanel and figured I could just change the theme and that would correct the problem. So I got back on the phone and was placed on hold. While I was waiting on hold, I figured out how to change the theme myself. Why didn't they tell me the first time that they could or I could switch the theme over and have access to my site? They'll cause you a lot of extra work. Not worth it. My biggest complaint is that they don't seem like they want to help you solve the problem at all. Every other hosting company I've had will try to help...even if it's Wordpress related. I was locked out of my site and they gave me ZERO options.

Eight years with a dedicated server with them and the past two years they have been in a downward spiral. As I write this our websites have been down for five hours and the wait times each time I call are around 50 minutes. Even paying extra for dedicated support during the week has long wait times. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS.

Server went completely down last week, I couldn't log into my account for reasons they couldn't tell me, and they suspended my account and also couldn't explain to me why. Oh, and when I over paid them in desperation to get my account back on, they couldn't locate my over payment. Amateur hour at best.

Beware, this company can block your site without any notice and they won't even allow you to move your files to another company, over a false flag. Total scam.
