Here's what I was told: my primary care physician and medication is covered under Innovate Health, according to the agent I spoke with who sold me the insurance. I had him double check and he confirmed that both those items would be covered. Cool. I signed up in February, paid a monthly fee of $330 dollars plus a one time initial fee... The truth: in March I found out I had to pay a $60 monthly fee with a different company that's supposed to be able to order my medications for me. Kind of a red flag, but I honestly gave the benefit of the doubt because maybe I misunderstood the agent I spoke with initially and... whatever it's another $60 and I need the medication. Not gonna throw a fit about it. Here's why I'm writing this review... Because I had my annual physical done today with my primary care giver, I found out they DO NOT take this insurance. The agent misinformed me and now I'm over $1,200 dollars in with this insurance company that was basically useless to me. I spoke with a customer service rep to ask for a cancellation and refund on my LAST MONTH ONLY because what's the point of having insurance that I can't even use for doctor appointments and let me tell you, this rep was awful. So awful it actually made me feel bad for her. Probably because she has to do deal with cancellation and refund requests on the daily based on the reviews I'm seeing now. I was polite and I tried to explain my case but she talked over me, interrupted me, and patronized me the entire phone call. "We don't offer refunds... It's on the contract, black and white... There is no but. You can't talk to a supervisor who is gonna put a magic password in to issue a refund. What's done is done." Verbatim, that's what this woman said to me and that's not even all of it... That whole automated message in the beginning of calls where it says "we record these calls for quality assurance" better be put to good use on that one because that was so bad it's almost comical. Anyways if you made it this far, stay away from this company. From the jump, I was misinformed (which is putting it nicely) and treated terribly so save yourself the trouble.

This company is a scam, I originally was paying $170 a month which i was told was the lowest health care plan they had. Then when i called and complained saying this was too much and told them i was going to cancel. They magically were able to find a plan that was $144 a month. Throughout this entire time whenever I went to health care providers and tried to used my insurance, the providers always said they had never heard of this insurance or it never worked and i had to pay out of pocket. The other day i went to urgent care for a medical emergency and when i gave them my insurance card, it said inactive so i was forced to pay the bill in full because I had to be seen by a doctor. I called the insurance the next day to figure out why it was inactive because I pay $144 every month and i wanted a reimbursement. But instead they blamed the urgent care provider for not contacting them to tell them that the insurance was in active. They told me that the provider had to contact the insurance to find out why the insurance was inactive and they have to file a claim. Can you believe that? Blaming a health care provider for not figuring out why the insurance wasn't working? like.. that is NOT there job! The insurance told me to call urgent care so that i can provide proof that my insurance did come back as inactive, so i called urgent care and got the proof. And when i called innovative back they gave me another different story as to why they couldn't reimburse me. I asked to speak to a manager and suddenly there were no manger available. They even accused my health care provider of lying about my insurance being inactive, when I HAVE PROOF ON PAPER AND DIGITALLY that it came back inactive AND I WAS THERE THEY DAY THEY TOLD ME THAT!! This company is a fraud, i lost so much money because of them. And it seems like every time i call them i hear the same voice but that person just says a different name. The customer service "reps" have no clue what they are doing! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS SO CALLED "INSURANCE" COMPANY!

Scam. This so-called insurance company is nothing but a web of lies and confusion. No one knows what they are doing and it is the biggest waste of money and time! I don't know how they all sleep at night. Their customer service is terrible and you can't get anywhere to resolve an issue. They keep passing the ball on to the next person. Paid over $1,000 and got nothing in return. Not able to even have my provider bill them for my appointments. Their service is simply lacking and pathetic. They should be reported and added on some sort of lawsuit! It is so like them to be commenting on the reviews telling people they are not a customer. Of course, you don't even know who you have working for you, much less your customers!

Scam, bought this insurance to help my daughter with her medical condition . No services were provided that were promised. Canceled the one plan and they talked me into a better plan to cover what she needed. Same thing happened . It didn't cover what she needed. I then canceled the second plan. For the last 4 months they keep taking both amounts for 2 insurance plans that have been cancelled. Worst part is I have changed my card 4x now and they keep finding a way to take both amounts of both policies every month. I will add a screenshot of the email canceling and refunding the first policy. Which they were happy to do when I was going to pay more for a higher amount plan. Now I just get charged both this amount attached and 1223.87 for the second policy I got! Worst mistake of my life!

Please avoid this insurance at all costs. They're big scam insurance. You pay a lot for coverage but they don't cover anything. Almost every places have been keep sending me bills saying my insurance denied the claims and won't cover. Please do yourself a big favor by asking questions and record them before you enroll so you can have what to use against them later. My advice would be to avoid them at all cost due to my horrible experience.

DO NOT and in all caps DO NOT move forward with these people. I tried cancelling TWICE - a month later $280 charge. The manager gave me an INCREDIBLY hard time trying to cancel and of course, when he finally conceded that he'd cancel - HE DIDN'T!

I called get covered NJ to reinstate my Aetna health insurance. Somehow these people got involved and said they were Aetna and that not only would they get me a refund from Aetna for premiums paid previously but that my monthly premium was going to be the same of $150 and that they were only going to change my card $328 1 time and that amount was before my discounts from the state of NJ. The.3 months of them charging $328 and me losing all of my doctor's because they don't take this insurance coverage not to mention no prescription plan either. I had to take all the money out of.my bank account because they literally tried zapping my card every 2 day's. I finally got someone on the phone from there and they cancelled my plan effective 11/12/24. Don't you know they charged my card again 11/27/24 and they are saying no they didn't to call my bank. This is the worst company ever and Im pretty sure it's a scam! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I'm not sure if this is a scam but they scammed me for 771.09. I need cheaper health insurance and was directed to them through nys of health, I purchased and never got documentation, called back and was told by Robert Gordon that he could get me a cheaper plan and he would reimburse me for the 411.23 immediately , which did not happen and then I never received documentation of a policy and called back to Ashley in billing who was absolutely rude but did say I would receive refund within 14 days, I'm on day 16 and haven't received anything, and can't get through to anyone
