I cannot stress this enough--avoid ADT at all costs. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, filled with fraudulent billing practices, deceptive tactics, and an absolute failure of customer service. ADT erroneously billed me for services and equipment that were never installed. Multiple ADT representatives confirmed that these charges were invalid, yet I continued to be billed. I was forced to pay an outstanding balance just to keep my account active, with the promise that a supervisor would call me to correct the issue. That call never happened. I spent hours upon hours on the phone with customer service, who struggled to reach their own supervisors for answers. Despite their own reps acknowledging the mistake, ADT has refused to take responsibility and continues to demand payment for charges they cannot even explain. If you're considering ADT, please read the overwhelming number of similar complaints from other customers. Their billing disputes are a common theme, and their customer service team is completely unreliable. I have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, CFPB, and my state's Attorney General to expose their deceptive business practices. There are plenty of reliable security companies that won't exploit their customers--ADT is not one of them. The worst company to use for monitoring-- STAY FAR AWAY unless you love long contracts and scams!! They draft large amounts money out of your account without your consent!! (And please, do not offer for us to speak to your billing team..we were put on hold hung up on lied to etc MANY times). They are selling thermostats they dont even know how to install, our sensors in the basement constantly went off, our doorbell camera never picked up anything when it was actually important and the cameras were constantly going down. The keypads were not user friendly either!! Do not sign anything and get roped into their long contracts because if you sell your house you either have to use their company AGAIN and sign ANOTHER contract or pay a large amount of money--which they decide is theirs to take from your account without even letting you know. Really upsetting because ADT used to be very good but we will never use them again or recommend to our family or neighbors after the nightmare they put us through!!

This review is for ADT company and not this location. The company is money hungry refuse to help customers to solve problems and the only answer they give is give us money. I advise to avoid them at all cost unless you are willing to pay twice the ammount you agreed on

They just keep drafting huge amounts of money. I suggest you do not use adt, this is a huge scam. My son is about to take his first steps and Dad too busy because adt has put on hold for over an hour on and off, hung up on him and this, maybe, 10th attempt to be billed appropriately. It's so painful to see a company be so belligerent and evil.

I have 2 cameras in my front door none of them working And I'm still paying every month. I'm afraid to call them because they will charge a lot of money to come to fixing. The door bell doesn't work it Keeps falling off. I spent a lot of money on the house for security for now is nothing working at all.

So, I've had ADT since purchasing my home in 2016, no issues until this past summer. A close friend of mine purchased a condo before heading back to her home country for the months of July and August. She asked if I could keep an eye on her place while she had a contractor in painting. Since I already had an ADT system at my home I decided to have one installed at her place with the understanding that she would take over the service when she returned to the States. Huge mistake!!! When she returned in mid-August we contacted ADT so that she could take over her account. ADT had us on the phone for over two hours and transferred us to at least 5 different departments and customer service representatives before we finally got an account manager on the phone who we thought had handled the situation. Then in mid-September ADT charged the credit card that I had on file with them over $700. I called and reported this charge as fraudulent and was told by the rep that I spoke to that the charges would be reversed, which they were not. Fast forward to this week. I go into the ADT app to check my bill and notice an addition charge of over $1,000 due to be charged on my credit card on October 8. I immediately call ADT and again was transferred to at least 4 different reps before I got to a rep who tells me that my friend who I opened the account for is the "account administrator" and only she can make any changes to the account. Unbelievable! I asked for her manager and she refused to get one involved and tried to transfer me to another department. After all of this nonsense I locked the credit cards that I have on file with ADT and decided that I'm not going to pay them another dime until they rectify the situation. I've also decided to look for another alarm company since I currently do not have a contract with them. So long ADT!!! I would not recommend ADT even though I did not have any issues before this point. ADT's customer service is terrible. Also, they locked my friend into a 5 year equipment and monitoring contract for the equipment that was installed at her condo. There are less expensive alternatives out there and I'll definitely be switching to them. I would have given them "0" stars if that were possible. STAY AWAY FROM ADT!!!

ZERO stars. Worst customer "service" I have ever experienced. We scheduled a Ring camera install and didn't receive a confirmation or anything via text, email, call, snail mail (so many communication options), and nobody showed up at the appointed day and time. After the estimated window passed on the day of, we called to see what was happening, and the rep told us the install had been cancelled (without our knowledge or any notification). Apparently they thought the camera was already installed and that's why they cancelled. Free suggestion for improving quality of customer service: if an appointment will be cancelled, CONFIRM WITH THE CUSTOMER. COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE. Also, a tech had come to install the lock a few weeks ago and he was the rudest individual I had ever met. Please teach employees common courtesy and professionalism as well. I didn't think this had to be mentioned to such a large company.

Warning to all those considering entering a contract with ADT. They will make it incredibly difficult and painful to get out even after the contract expires. We just spent 2+ hours simply trying to terminate a contract that was month to month AFTER the lock in period. Forced to listen to a recording of the reasons not to cancel, insulted by customer service reps and repeatedly ignored, put on 40 minute holds and verbally abused. And to a senior citizen no less! This could happen to you. Why is the State of CT not protecting its citizens from abusive businesses like ADT?
