DO NOT TRUST -- Took $500, Failed to File Taxes, Ignored Me, Now in Small Claims Court I'm writing this review to warn others about my extremely disappointing and stressful experience with Xiomara Otero. On February 12, 2025, I paid her $450 to prepare and file my personal taxes and assist with a K-1 visa application. On February 18, I paid an additional $50 for her to file an IRS tax extension (Form 4868) on my behalf. That's a total of $500. After taking my money, she stopped responding. I followed up numerous times, through phone calls and messages throughout April and May, trying to confirm whether anything had been filed. She ignored all communication. I finally sent her a formal demand for refund on May 20, and she responded with a brief message claiming that the extension had been filed -- but she provided zero proof, no IRS confirmation, no Form 4868 receipt, and no update on my tax filing status. She also accused me of being unprofessional for calling too many times -- but I was just trying to get the services I paid for. After that, she blocked my number and told me she would only communicate through an attorney. To this day, she has: Not filed my taxes Not provided any proof of extension filing Not refunded my money Not accepted responsibility Because of her negligence, I may now face IRS penalties. I have filed a Small Claims Court case against her in Sarasota County, and I've documented everything including screenshots, emails, and call logs. This was not just a bad service experience -- this was irresponsible and potentially fraudulent behavior from someone who claims to be a professional. Please be very cautious. Do not trust her with your finances or immigration-related documents. You could end up in the same position I'm in -- out of money, stressed, and trying to clean up someone else's mess.

XMAX is amazing! I've known Xiomara for years and years. I don't know why it took me until this year to go and use her services because I have been missing out. She is there for you whenever you need any help even if it's a simple question. She will respond in a timely manner and answer all your questions with detail. I will highly recommend XMAX to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed.

I would recommend Xmax business to anyone who asked "who did your taxes?" Xiomara was very professional, on time, and had quick responses. She explained very tax break I received and did not receive, asked me questions about tax breaks that I even forgot I could claim. I was very satisfied with my results for my tax refund and will be back next year! 10/10 for me!
