The Clan Davidson Society of North America is a not-for-profit 501 c 3 charitable and education corporation. Five years ago, when I was looking for some help rebuilding our website (clandavidson.org), I had a chat with Brian MacKenzie about this project. Since I had some experience with website building, I was able to describe to Brian exactly what I was looking for. He took the graphics and text which I provided and built an incredible website embracing history of the Clan, marketing tools with a link to a money-collection machine (stripe.com) and many other features. Since we were a 501 c 3 corporation, he gave us a special reduced rate for his work. When I first started chatting with Brian my existing website was hosted by GoDaddy. After observing the poor response performance of GoDaddy and compared it with the greatly enhance performance of MackMedia's webhosting service, I also opted to switch our web hosting to MackMedia. Throughout this process, Brian was quick to respond to my requests. We met face-to-face in Smyrna TN where Brian gave me some training on making modifications to the new website, saving the Society a ton of money down the road. Brian handled all the complications of rehoming my website from GoDaddy to MackMedia and all other actions needed to make my new website really sit up and run like a champion. Since then, our website has consistently paid for itself, covering all the overhead of hosting plus providing a consistent source of revenue needed to fund some of our charitable activities. We have worked with Mackmedia since 2018. Without any noticeable interruption, they took over our website maintenance and hosting services. The minor changes that they made resulted in increased visibility for our organization. We are notified of regular updates and they allow unused service request hours to roll over into future months, neither of which our previous provider offered.
