Was told my bill would only be 60.00 a month and only one month was that price. Ever time I have paid the bill it has been 80.00 I was also told that I could put my bill due date on the 4th of every month and that has not happened either. Paid 5.00 extra so I could get it transferred to the 4th and still nothing. My internet was disconnected today after me for an extension Am very pissed at this company If anybody were to ask my opinion on WOw services I would say run away I absolutely hate WOW

When Wow! took over from NUTV sometime in 2021, my internet (fastest available) was $65/month. It is now $119.80. Wow! for the most part was pretty reliable until recently. In Oct24, our internet was down for 2.5 days -- the same weekend Helene wiped out the Carolinas. Who knows if our outage had anything to do with that -- it shouldn't have -- but we were never given any explanation. Our internet was down 4 hours two Sundays ago -- and once again we received no notification or acknowledgement from Wow! Checking their website is useless because they don't post any outage information there, nor do they post information on their toll-free number. I've just called to cancel service -- the initial call was answered within a minute, but cancellations require a transfer to another number. I waited 8 minutes on hold to speak to someone about cancelling. While waiting I fired up their customer chat to inquire about cancelling, but was told by the chat agent that cancellations must be handled by phone. Typical of the customer service I've experienced. I really have no complaints about their customer service people or their internet speed. My service cancellation comes down to value/price, recent reliability, and lack of customer notification when they suffer impacts to service.

The internet connection disappeared for an hour. Called for support. Stayed on hold for 45 minutes. Agent was not able to help at all. Set up an appointment for two days later?!?! Saying that the problem is on our end without trying to troubleshoot or check if there is an outage in the area or working service crew in our neighborhood. An hour later service came back itself. This company has no idea what is going on with their own service. The agents working from home only follows the written steps to resolve an issue. Can't think out of the box! Waiting time for calls and service appointment in more than 48 hours is unacceptable in 2024!

This trash company had people digging in my yard today without my permission. I'm not one of their customers. They said it was to install my neighbors internet. Now after they left my internet stopped working and I'm not even their customer. They seem absolutely terrible.

If I could give zero stars I would. We have had an issue where some emails were being blocked and were told the problem is with WOW. We have been calling for months and have had at least 5 tickets written up and were told it would be resolved and we would receive a phone call. Neither of these ever happened. I have been a customer for over 20 years. I would NEVER recommend this company. And the response I received was call the same number back so we can discuss. You mean call the same number back that I called over 5 times and no one did ANYTHING? No thanks. They never disappoint with their poor service. They have promised over 7 times that a manager would call back. NEVER happened and last time I spoke with them they told me they couldn't resolve my issue which happens to be a very minor issue. Have you seen your reviews? You have a 1.1 rating and that's only because you don't allow a zero. Sad that no one there cares.

I'm not sure what's going on with these reviews but WOW, has been an amazing company to work with starting from their technical support to their technician Cameron Phillips, who came out and took care of our Internet. WOW, has not disconnected one time for me. I had spectrum and every day of the week my Internet will get disconnected but wow, has been quick fast and simple. all my smart home devices work perfectly and connectivity seems seamless and I don't even have the fastest plan that they offer. Thank you again WoW team appreciate your service!

Just want to say that when WOW works it's great but if you have any technical issue it takes much effort to get help, which is NOT quick. Had a bad storm last night, watching TV and then a big "bang" from thunder and cable went out! Even have part of a tree down. They are not declaring it a "outage" in the area, so therefore no one can come check outside until tomorrow. And of course I'll not be home for that service call because I work. They should send out a technician TODAY and check the main box outside. Very dissatisfied

This is ridiculous and from the looks of the reviews others have left they are all 1 or 2 stars max. It makes total sense, before coming to wow I had Spectrum and 5 years ago worked as a manager of the contractor group here my county. Our technicians were trained on how to trouble shoot a home for noise. This seems to be a major issue for wow their staff doesn't have the training to detect noise on a home and would imagine this is the same for their system. Noise is the great killer of the internet and is essentially foreign signal leaking into a cable system drowing or overwhelming the frequencies that carry internt. It can stem from many sources but is typically from bad connections or cable. So for the lines on the street little critters like squirrel chew the lines or poles swaying in wind pull connection apart where these unwanted frequencies come into the lines, typically from the efields generated from power lines. The same can be said about a home where power lines run parallel with your cable lines. If not adequately shielded or comprised these frequencies from devices powered in your home generate noise. Example in a conversation two people are talking, (you and your cable provider) noise is like someone with a bull horn screaming in your ear while having this conversation. It can be intermittent as the device that is generating it may not run all the time like a dryer or hvac. Again any and every device with a motor like hvac, fridge, dryer, washer, etc generates noise. So the fact that wow technicians are not equipped to detect and deal with this means that their service will suck system wide. For the lucky few that don't experience this it's likely due to the lines in your area being underground and the lines in your home being newer or worked on by pros that understand low voltage. I say all this because for the last year + I gots wows service because Spectrum has become a billing nightmare and thankfully I have both in my sub division so I have the luxury of actually expecting what I pay for. After this interruption in my internet service I think I'm throwing in the towel on wow. I tried but as I point out above at first they couldn't even get my internet working. The tech just came and kept changing out modems. I tried to relay what I explained above but forget it. I had to come home and pull out my meter from 5 years ago, charge it and shoot my house for noise. And yes although I got it fixed and service had been without issues since. This hurricane came through but completely missed our county thank God and still since 10am this morning to now almost 8pm this evening the internet is down. No eta, no reason, no service. It's sad because being a former employee and contractor for Spectrum, I really enjoyed taking my money and business elsewhere but wow reminds of at&t dsl it's so bad. I hope my long script here can help some of you. For your DIY people again, if your internet is working but just really bad, don't get hung up on your download & upload, look at you SNR(signal to noise ratio) if you can, typicall you can log on to your modem or router and it will tell you abouts your signals. If not look at you cable connections, those old cheap screw on fittings on coax are notorious for allowing noise in, so are crimp connectors that squeeze the dielectric of the coax, you should have compression fittings. Splitters can do it too, if you have open ports on splitters they should capped off with 75ohm cap. For you DIYers that have put amplified splitters in your home to raise your signal, you are your own worst enemy, they not only amplify signal but noise as well. So for most people who are running internet only you really want you modem to be the only thing connected so as to eliminate the other coax lines in your home from carrying noise back to your modem. OK well I'm tried of typing now so I'm gonna get off here and call Spectrum I guess, you really suck WOW
