The Bookshelf

As soon as you walk in you can see how nice of a bookstore it is. The staff was super helpful as soon as I walked in without being too intrusive. They helped me find the genres I was looking for and the selection was excellent. They had both selections I asked for: poetry and Greeko-Roman/ancient books (Marcus Aurelius). I was impressed with the selection of books. Thank you

I make visiting the Bookshelf a priority every time I visit Thomasville. When I go, everyone is super warm and welcoming. They also have lots of unique copies of some of my favorite classic novels so I always walk away with something new. They display a lot of different books that I might not have discovered if I hadn't seen them there. For example, I got a liturgy book that I now use every day. Their podcast is excellent as well. 12/10!!!

One of the best bookstores I have ever been to, and not just because I was doing a signing with them (for my book, the Peril of Remembering Nice Things) The location is wonderful, their recommendations spot on, and their customer service excellent. They have a wide variety of programs, an excellent podcast and are supportive of their community. Definitely go to them for Black History Month!

Wonderful selection my son & I especially enjoyed the children's section. The ascetic of the store was wonderful, the staff was kind & the truffles were delicious. I will definitely be returning and spreading the word on such a hidden gem.

Super cute bookstore! It has all the genres labeled and they have book related trinkets.

Everything a small independent bookstore should be. Small but we'll curated selection of fiction, non-fiction, children's books, etc. Staff had a lot of good recommendations. Store seems to run a lot of fun programs and readings (they had a where's Waldo activity going on while we were there). Nice reading area upstairs.

I ordered some books online because I'm going to participate in the 2025 Conquer a Classic and had to buyore goodies than just the one book. It was very neatly packaged in a fun, festive box, and it came with a handwritten note. I love these kinds of personal touches. I willd definitely order again
