Do not live here. While building fire alarm constantly goes off, pipes burst damaging the building, and flooding apartments. Apartment was very dirty at move in and had a dented microwave and food still in the apartment from the previous tenant. The fire exit is often blocked by trash and stairwells have trash that sits there for months.

Avoid this place at all costs. Management is completely incompetent and unresponsive. The building is extremely old and falling apart. We experienced two floods during our time living there due to infrastructure issues. One of them was so bad it caused a unit's ceiling to collapse. Hallways and stairwells are constantly dirty and never properly cleaned. Fire alarms would also inexplicably go off at random times. At one point, a bird got into our apartment after a maintenance visit and we couldn't get a response from management for days. This place is neglected and not worth the price.

Don't live here!! This year our pipes froze twice. Then, the pipes burst and flooded our apt. After 2 months, it was fixed. Then, our apartment got flooded again by sprinklers. It happed on a Friday morning and they did not let us know. We came back on a Sunday to everything in our apartment moved and fans!! They don't communicate anything. We have been told that this is the 7th year in a row that pipes have burst.

I lived here for a year and I'm telling you avoid living here at all costs. First, they have rats in the walls. They also enter your apartment without even knocking while your sleeping (not safe). The fire alarm went off at random times 20-30 times before they tried to get it fixed. My roommate and I needed our dryer fixed in March and no one ever came to fix it and and our lease just ended. When my roommate and I walked into our apartment for the first time we found left over food and many things in the apartment that were broken.

My son and roommates lived there for 1 year, moved out and left the place spotless. Yugo claimed 'smoke damage to the walls' and charged us to have the place repainted. No smoking happened, no fire, nothing. The showed us no evidence - no photos, no video, nothing. Also oddly, no smoke damage to cloth furniture or beds? But to the walls? they threatened credit damage if we didn't pay. This felt like extortion -DO NOT RENT HERE!!

I lived here my sophomore year and they definitely have stepped up their management! Maintenance always comes in a timely manner and the staff are incredibly nice. I also like the apartment bonding events they host often to encourage bonding between residents. I would say that South 3rd Lofts definitely improved from previous years and I had a great time living here. Additionally, their apartments are renovating this year and so they will be a lot more innovative and modern. However, my apartment there was still incredibly cozy and convenient for having groups of people over. Definitely consider it!

I lived here last year and I have never had such a bad rental experience in my life. Don't believe five-star reviews, because they tell residents that leaving five-star reviews will result in rent reduction. Believe me, if the minimum isn't one star, I wouldn't even want to give a star. 1. The place of the room and floor we were assigned were completely different from what we were promised when we viewed the house. 2. Our car was bump in the basement on the day we moved in. After waiting for more than a week to inquire again, we got a bad attitude reply saying that the surveillance camera didn't capture anything. 3. Last year, my home was flooded during a thunderstorm, and I stayed in a hotel arranged by them for a month. The apartment handled things very slowly. 4. To facilitate maintenance personnel, the safety lock is removed and cannot be put back on, which allowing homeless people to sleep in the stairwill, which is extremely unsafe. 5. The smoke detector would beep at any time for a while, several times even in middle of the night, without any explanation and apology. 6. The staff will enter your home without notice for next year's renovation, and they will still smoke in your home. They showed no privacy and are rude. 7. Something happened that can only be said to be unfriendly to pets. 8. I am an international student. I don't know if this is normal, but the charging utility company that cooperated with them estimated in advance the utility for the two months before I moved out and charged them, but the company and the apartment did not notify us that we had to apply for a refund for the overcharged part within 14 days. As a result, my roommate and I were overcharged for more than 200 dollars in utility bills with no way to refund (we are not even in the United States).
