Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Beautiful building and so well cared for, beautiful pastor, enough space and great chairs for nearly any event. Thank you Pastor Brooks for saving this WONDERFUL building and creating so much opportunity for Chicago's youth! I'm bringing them more books to read!
The Jump Camp was a blessing for my family. The instructors were so nice and the location has so much to offer the community. Will be back and spread the word.
I think it's a great idea. Last night I watched an episode on the news. They said they were thinking about having classes for young kids. Some of these classes he said would be HVAC electrician etc. They should consider having classes on appliance repair. It's very hard to find appliance repair training and it is a very important skill. Every house has appliances and there are very little training classes to teach people how to fix refrigerators, washer and dryers ovens, dishwashers. If anyone in charge read this and is interested, I am an appliance repair man it was trained at 14 years old in my local high school community center. I've trained over 50 people how to repair appliances and most of them are now on their own companies and have very successful careers and families. Just like electricians, plumbers HVAC is another skill that is needed in America today and it would help young people get off the streets and learn skill and trade that can help them for the rest of their lives
Project Hood has been a key instrument in me changing my life and has helped me in a lot of ways one of them being with a couple of my last cases writing letters to the judge and providing mentoring to me so I can better myself.
I would like to say Thank you project hood !!!You guys was amazing in helping me as a returning citizen in society. The re-entry program contacted me the next day after I submitted my application.I would recommend this program to anyone who needs community resources.
I grew up in the "Bridgeport" and "Canaryville" in the 1950's. My school, Kelly, played DuSable, Harper, Englewood, Tilden, Dunbar, etc ..... we practiced on Tuesday nights at Englewood. I lived at 89th and Lowe (Gresham), 76th and Sangermon in grade school and .30th and Princeton in High School. Now you can't ride the Elevated without fear of being tossed on the tracks, or going any of the pools and parks, even Dan Ryan Woods without fear, or better yet just walking down the block. The parks on the south side were great, the beaches were very inviting and safe, There were plenty of jobs on the South Side Help these good people make the South Side a place you can call your hometown I going to Donate today Don C Kelly 59
I have only read about this Project, but it sounds very promising. This is the way we can move young men back to a life with promise and hope. I wish there was a place like that here in Las Vegas.
