My name is "Tom H" and I worked for the Hewlett Packard Corporation for 28 years doing sales, regional, and national lead generation programs. I retired from HP and because I sport photographer and have millions of images of football, basketball and softball games at the high school and college level and did photography at 5 NCAA Division Three National Championship. Football games. I also did many Corporate party events with my photography I have a home network and many computers, network storage devices, printers, and tablets and cell phones. My challenge is keeping up with all the changes in technology. If you have a home network and a business system I recommend NerdsToGo - Crystal Lake, IL The big thing that helped me out was I called their office and within 2 hours their technical person Jeff came to my home to Solove my technical problem fast. I could not find any local firm that would come out to my home. The tech firms I contacted all said, they don't support home networks. Nerds to Go was a great big win for me. Because I have 120 terabytes of disc storage where I have over 1 million photos, and I have a number of printer, Just can't take what I have and take it to a Place like Best Buy - they can't replicate the environment I have in my home. For some complex things, it's just the best solution to have NerdsToGo come out to visit me at my home: 1. They can ID the issues quickly, 2. They fix the issues Immediately 3. They found other issues I was not aware of and solved all of them on the initial visit to my home. 4. I did not have to wait hours or days to get a response from an big box computer store. 5. Nerds to go for me is a great service and was very valuable to me. 6. My Time is valuable and getting something fixed NOW is important to me. 7. In the long run, Nerds to go saved me money. 8. They are very knowledgeable on many technology topics. I got the blue screen of death so I called nerds to go. I will admit that it is entirely my fault that I did not ask about pricing but I feel strongly that reviewing pricing with a customer is important; particularly when it costs 438 dollars for 2 hours of work. Jeff the technician was great and blue screen is gone but in the future I would recommend to review pricing with your residential customers. If I had known the cost, I would have figured something else out, including probably buying a new computer. Last week, a lightning strike hit one of the trees in my front yard. Worse than that, though - it killed my internet! I pay my bills and stuff with that! What could I do? He patiently guided me through troubleshooting steps over the phone, identifying that the culprit was my cable modem. I am immensely grateful for Rick's patience, expertise, and the personal care he took to resolve my issue.
