Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rockford - Loves Park, an IHG Hotel

We stopped on our way back from Florida as it was in the perfect location to stop to avoid potential storms to the north. First of all, we asked about places to eat and Joeh at the desk gave us a name at a great pizza place that delivered. He gave us tips to get a discount and was super friendly. The room was just what we needed for our brief stay, a comfortable bed and a good shower. When we left I forgot a hoodie in the closet in the room and Tina at the front desk was very helpful in our return about 15 minutes after we checked out. It was one of the best experiences that we have ever had for such a short stay. We would absolutely stay here again as we felt welcome from the time we walked in the door.

Room is very clean & updated. Dove liquid shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower. Liquid hand soap at the sink. Refrigerator, coffee machine and safe in room They had a wonderful INCLUDED hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, cheese and veggie omelettes, pork & turkey sausage patties, cubed/seasoned potatoes, biscuits and gravy, warm sweet cinnamon rolls, oatmeal (with raisins, walnuts, cinnamon & brown sugar), fresh fruit, along with 'you make' pancakes, toast, bagels and wrapped muffins. They also had a variety of drinks- hot coffee (vanilla/hazelnut creamers & half & half), hot tea & juices (orange, apple & cranberry). To our total surprise they just started an Hors d'oeuvres bar in the evening with nachos (with sour cream, salsa & guac), potato chips, charcuterie tray (sliced deli meats, sliced cheeses, olives, crackers), fresh fruit salad, cucumber salad, meatballs and cookies!! They even included cans of Coke and Sprite. All for FREE!! Great snack after a very long drive which was MUCH appreciated!! When you factor a free breakfast and 'dinner' into the cost, you just can't beat the price!! They have a nice size heated pool as well. The staff were all very friendly! The Holiday Inn Express in Rockford is easy on/off the freeway. Across from Costco. This hotel is our go to stop ALWAYS on the way out to see our family in MN!! We highly recommend this hotel!!!

We had a wonderful experience! The front desk staff greeted us warmly upon arrival--he was polite and very professional. Our room was clean, and the bed and pillows were excellent quality. We got the restful sleep we needed before a long day at the soccer tournament. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location right off 90. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Best free breakfast in the business, omelets, great oatmeal and coffee. Room was clean and comfortable. I used the fitness room which had everything you might want. Definitely would come here again

When i travel i search for the Holiday Inn Express, because I enjoy the breakfast and my room has always been great. This Holiday Inn was no different, service was great, hotel was clean and the breakfast was outstanding.(I enjoy the coffee always being in the lobby). Only problem with this stay was I reserved a King but the were out.(They were really busy), but that is the point of the reservation. However I would stay again.

I've stayed at several different Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past year, and this one was by far the best. Staff was friendly, room was well equipped and clean, and the area was quiet, even though it is near the interstate. Plenty of food options nearby and the hotel breakfast had plenty of options to choose. I had no issues or complaints during my stay.

We travel a lot and understand service well. This location exceeded all of those expectations. We appreciate the quality for money spent. The customer service was above excellent also. When was the last time you've said that? Breakfast was what's expected at a hotel and clean and well prepared. We had a great stay.

We had a lovely stay. This location is pet friendly and we were able to bring our sweet Bandit. We have 3 teenagers so asking for two rooms with a connecting door was a great option to give us all 5 plus bandit lots of room and two bathrooms! Everyone is super nice and breakfast was great and filling. - thank you HIE!
